Thumb. Drive

This is literally the worst Batman movie since Batman Forever and Val Kilmer.

Yeah its retarded

why? He's the Riddlester. this is what he does.

>Blade. Runner.
lol

>character named riddler
>leaves riddles and puns
>this infuriates the Yea Forums incel

I like that he was actually a detective for once. But the action sucked. Suit is maybe the most comic like, without going full Adam West.

That was the best line in the movie

It’s literally a non issue. Setting up riddler’s character.

These threads aren't Yea Forums

I exclaimed "Riiiiddlerr!" (Like "Carlos") in the theater and everyone laughed haha

Honest question how did you guys feel about Robert Pattinson? I was really hopeful for him but honestly this character really fell flat for me

every single time i've been in a theater with some dumb shit saying something quippy in the audience, it has been met with cold silence. this didn't happen, and you know it.

When he pushed the table and was spray painting stuff I was disappointed. He has literally zero gains and I’m supposed to believe that he’s a badass

I don't know anything about Batman lore but supposedly Bruce Wayne built his gear by himself since no one can know his identity right? I can't see the moody Cobain wannabe doing that.

It happened in my mind therefore it's real

SOMETHING IN THE WAAAAAAAY

In lore Luscious Fox helps him. Idk exactly when that happens in the comic timeline but that’s the explanation.

I think the thing I hate is when you get a really complex character like Batman and just turn him into an anti social loser it’s kinda boring for me. I want a superhero that is more in charge of the situations.

HOW MUCH?

Did you forget Batfleck's suit?

wayne enterprises built it. lucius fox became a side character after awhile to put a face on it (morgan freeman played him in the bale movies).

i guess i did.

>supposedly Bruce Wayne built his gear by himself
In the comics he usually builds *some* of his own stufff, but the high tech gear is either made by another character, made by wayne enterprises, or bought from other companies through wayne enterprises

(me)
wait, no, no. look at those little ears. it's just wrong.

>Riddler sends Batman a phone with a link to his livestream to 500 followers
>Never occurs to Batman to view the livestream to gain Intel

>Riddler sends Batman dozens of photos of different crime scenes within the same 1 block radius
>Never occurs to Batman to look at the vantage point of the photos taken for clues

>Riddler legitimately sends Batman his personal information, GPS, childhood story, etc
>Batman: uhhhh El Rato? El Gato? El Bato?

>Riddler gives up on Batman's incompetence and turns himself in by just walking into a diner
>Batman doesn't even catch him first

The dumbest Batman we have ever seen on film

WhileI do prefer longer ears, their length and shape have been depicted in many, many ways by different arttists in the comics. Batfleck is heavily based on the Batman drawn by Frank Miller, and he always put short ears on the characters.

hilarious when he finally sperged out in the cell. exactly how imagine most anons when they get flustered.

/pol/ when trump lost

Lucius Fox being the man who invents and builds Batman's gadgets was an idea that originated from Nolan's Batman Begins.
It was then retconned into the comic canon.

Previously he was just the Vice President of Wayne Enterprises and was practically tech illiterate. He was not aware of Batman's identity and even forced Bruce Wayne to hire a bodyguard for himself named Sasha Bordeaux (who fell in love with him).
The James Bond like Q type character had been done before:
>In Batman: The Animated Series the Batmobile is designed and maintained by a black man named Earl Cooper.
>In the 90's to 2000's comics Batman rescued a mute hunchback named Harold Allnut who was forced to create gadgets and weapons for the Penguin. He then lived in the Batcave designing, building, and ma in maintaining Batman's gadgets.

fair point. my bad. although i never liked miller's art (compared to his writing), but it's still iconic.

No fucking way was that bad acting, that was a classic REEEEEEEEEE

>NOOOOOOOOOOOO
>thousands of faggots literally in tears
2016 wasn't that long ago, don't pretend you forgot it

what the fuck are you talking about, did you actually get spergtriggered like the riddler?

We all know that Yidsney's defenders are real people. Everyone knows it. There's a reason they started flooding this sub the day they got their special status revoked.

oh hey pic rel is you

>I like that he was actually a detective for once
Except he was a brainlet. Riddler was always several moves ahead, and Batman failed to save single victim or stop the flood.

It was weird that he had this agressive, tanky fighting style, but he actor was a 160lbs weakling with a soft gayboy voice. That shirtless scene was hilarious. Did they expect us to be impressed by his dyel physique?

youre literally proving the point by seething at the mere mention of trump losing, jesus

he was less a brainlet than the cops at least. but riddler's the riddler. he's got his niche. like flash outrunning superman.

Batman didn't really care about saving Riddler's victims. He even implies that he himself think they had it coming. All he cares for is catching Riddler and finding the rat

He has no presence.

The point is that the hero completely failed. Batman could have stayed home for the entire movie and the outcome would have been the same.

>Batman didn't really care about saving Riddler's victims.
He definitely tried to save the DA. He also saved the corrupt cop from Selina, even though he thought he deserved it. He still has his no kill rule.

>All he cares for is catching Riddler and finding the rat
Why, if he doesn't care about saving his victims?

kek. fucking zoomer Batman.

Attached: 79827.jpg (512x512, 39.12K)

the movie tries to be grimdark but in a very infantile, childish way that renders it unwatchable for anyone with some kind of mental maturity
it's literally just a teenager movie in the same category as later Harry Potters

No it wouldn't have. Riddler needed Batman to bring Falcone out of the club so he could kill him. Yes, Batman does fail, but to say that everything would've still happened without him is retarded

Oh, get serious. You're telling me that the guy, who sneaked into the Mayor's house wouldn't have been able to get to Falcone? Please. He only wanted Bruce to do it, because he idolized Batman and he thought they were on the same team.

Fuck off, Forever is peak Batman kino

> He definitely tried to save the DA
He cared more about getting the rat info from the DA more than he did saving him, especially seeing as the DA himself was saying that it would be a whole lot worse for him if he were to get out alive.
>He also saved the corrupt cop from Selina, even though he thought he deserved it
That was also more to do with him caring about Selina and not wanting to see her go down a dark path.
>Why, if he doesn't care about saving his victims?
That's the whole point. His entire arc in the film is him learning how to be a hero. All he really cares about is inflicting his form of justice on everyone in the name of vengeance. Compare the start where after he beats the shit out of that gang of thugs, he just leaves their victim there without seeing if he's okay (the victim is even scared of him himself), to the end where he actually reaches out to help people.

at times, but at other times it came off as conventionally comic booky. like i said, the detective comics bit. it's something you don't see much outside comics - him working with gordon and just hanging out in full public view. i'm almost expecting to becoming a saturday morning cartoon and robin in tights showing up. that's not grim.

Because the mayor's house has big open windows he can easily get into. Falcone essentially lives at Penguins club where he is heavily protected. The film even makes note of this when Bruce says he never leaves the shoreline out of fear of someone taking a shot at him. Riddler had no other way of getting to Falcone unless he is physically dragged out the front door

>He cared more about getting the rat info from the DA more than he did saving him
Yeah, dude. That's why he let that bomb explode in his face.

>That was also more to do with him caring about Selina and not wanting to see her go down a dark path.
Yeah? Cause he knows murder is wrong. I'm not saying he likes these people, but Batman will try to save even criminals.

>That's the whole point. His entire arc in the film is him learning how to be a hero.
You didn't answer the question. Why did he care about stopping Riddler if he thought his victims deserved to die?

Attached: 1650683913404.webm (1280x536, 2.96M)

Lol he could have literally bombed the place. We saw that he has access to military grade explosives. Riddler just wanted to do a team up Batman.

>Why did he care about stopping Riddler if he thought his victims deserved to die
Because Riddler is still a criminal that needed to be taken down? I'm not saying that Batman explicitly wanted Riddler to kill his victims, he just wasn't going out of his way to stop them

>realistic take on Batman
>smashes his head into a bridge at 80 mph and walks it off

And how was he gonna get a bomb in there?

>First scene with gang members
>A bunch of white thugs are pressuring a black guy to go do the knockout game
I literally stopped the movie, deleted the file and swore never to watch it again

Attached: 1650687725015.jpg (326x316, 26.19K)

>Because Riddler is still a criminal that needed to be taken down?

What are his crimes? Punishing the corrupt and the criminals by operating outside of the law? Batman does the same thing. If Batman was as uncaring as you think, he would have been fine with Riddler's work.

realistic =/= grounded

It doesn't need to be in there. Park a couple of those vans that blew up the sea wall in front of the club and it was destroy the building.

not the same user but it's almost like that's the whole point of the film that the two of them are alike

Reeves also called it "grounded".

But they're not. As selfish and as self-absorbed as Mr Vengeance's crusade was, he still had his no kill rule.

Yes, that's what I'm calling it too. The film is grounded, but it was never meant to be realistic like you're claiming

Because there's a big jump between what Batman is doing and Riddler straight up killing people.
