Star Trek

Did it age well?

Yes

Some episodes of TOS aged very well, most didn't.

Yes, absolutely. It still has the best cast out of all Star Trek shows.

Nope.

It's the only good Star Trek
>t. zoomer who's up to s1 of ENT

Based. Zoomers have the best opinions on this board.

yes.

no we don't have you seen them spamming their insta meme threads

All Star Trek is shit.

That’s based.

>didn't learn the folly of racism from a crudely painted Frank Gorshin

This metaphor was painfully reductive.

That’s now how races work. Black people aren’t white people colored brown.

Is this /trek/?

It was a good 'sode.

I think it’s fair to say that Star Trek ruined western civilization.

tng aged better but this has still aged remarkably well

/trek/ became a social club for schizos.

They literally are.

first 2 seasons of TOS did, 3rd is pretty trash

all generals do, sadly

/wars/ started off decent, but it quickly devolved into a war over what’s canon or not.

The original Enterprise is still the best looking starship in all of sci-fi.

I'm watching TOS for the first time and I think it mostly aged well
But its got really silly episodes

I think what’s great about Star Trek in general is that even the silly shit is memorable. You take the good with the bad.
Alas, television isn’t made that way anymore.

Thank you, OP.

The movies are great.

The Animated Series was the best thing that came out of it.

>woman are inherently insane
What’s the best episode and why is Turnabout Intruder?

Attached: turnabout intruder.jpg (474x356, 23.21K)

Yes, silly but fun
I love how red blooded it is and the characters have a lot of chemistry
It's a worse sci-fi show than the rest of boomer trek but it's as good of a show in general, if not better, once you get used to the dated parts

Just like /trek/.

What are the best Trek episodes about actually travelling the stars, and not just hanging out at one planet or anomaly for an episode?

With Star Wars it’s simple, everything made by George Lucas is canon and everything else is fanfiction.
With Star Trek it’s a bit more complicated.

Seek help.

What?

No, but as a grognard I like it nonetheless.

TNG: “Where No One Has Gone Before”
It’s pretty much Star Trek condensed to one episode. Too bad most people skip it because they got filtered by early TNG.

They took a post from the /trek/ general and posted it here. It's not the same person, different file name for the gif.

Not a whole lot in TOS desu

Binged it last March when I decided to check what Star Trek franchise is all about. Absolutely loved it, currently watching S3 of TNG

The fuck are you talking about, this is my first post today.
I’m just asking a question.

Racist shit lord, not everybody is shades of white.

I don’t think these /trek/ types are exactly right in the head, user. Ignore him.

...

Better than anything else so old. By a mile. If only the soulless creatures in charge could recapture 10% of it I would be happy.

Seems like a coincidence. No same person would go there to talk about Star Trek.

Anyway…
I hate how Enterprise and DS9 lovingly recreated the original set, and then Kurtzman came along and went like “nah, that looks wrong”

It’s the most groundbreaking sci-for series ever made. But yes, it is dated.

Star Trek is like Power Rangers

it needs that kitschy style to be kino

I don’t think Discovery is even pretending to be canon. And that’s okay.

The interiors should feel lived in. The new shows have that level of artifice to them, despite obviously being higher budget.

They should make a retro style Star Trek movie.

George Lucas talked about this when he was discussing his directorial style.
In essence, you shouldn’t be afraid of letting things look rough because it makes it look more real.

sadly you can't recreate it with cgi and no producer would do that because all they want is profit for cocaine and child rape

I think it would sell.

I dunno, Elaan of Troyius maybe? What's wrong with hanging out at a planet?

producers think globally not locally
if something isn't made for masses then in their sick minds it's worthless

I would love an episode of Star Trek that focuses entirety on archeology, unearthing alien civilizations.
Kind of like sci-fi Indiana Jones.

The Chase is a bit like that.

Shatner will outlive them all.

He definitely should outlive Stewart.

>end the show with an episode that shits on women
Based Gene.

Hell yeah! Kirk, Spock, & Bones will always be based af

locked

>Gene Roddenberry
>shitting on women
Yeah, about that…

Someone post the pasta.

No. Enterprise is the best Star Trek because it’s modern TOS.

Attached: progos.jpg (513x768, 121.94K)

Enterprise killed the franchise.

Enterprise is trash.

>best cast
>attractive women
Yeah.

Attached: 1627774816179.jpg (1417x799, 747.89K)

It’s not Star Trek without half-naked women.

Attached: tos.jpg (500x667, 95.44K)

God I miss the sixties.

Attached: mudd.jpg (800x600, 153.04K)

True. Women in TNG were never that much to look at.
