will we ever get batkino where his cape shrouds his entire body?
Will we ever get batkino where his cape shrouds his entire body?
The movie came close in some scenes.
Is there any cosplay which does this
Not even the Arkham games did
As much as Burton got wrong, I feel like he was one of the only directors to actually try and make Batman look bat-like
>cowl and cape are the same piece
>unless he's fighting, he's almost always completely covered by the cape
>typical modern armoured suit, but you don't really see it that often
>make the cape bulletproof so Batman actually needs to manoeuvre himself around to protect himself instead of just taking bullets, and so we can get some kino covering face with cape shots
>long ears
would be the perfect Batman portrayal
The Armored bat suit always looks ass and doesn’t fit with a cloth cape. I always hated the Battinson suit because of this. The coal looks like something out of Year 1 Batman, but the armored suit looks like it came out of Arkham Knight. It looks ass and isn’t consistent.
*cowl, not coal
why can't I wear a cape..it seems comfy to just be able to wrap yourself in cape just whenever
The cowl looked very cool on screen, the way it's doesn't reflect much light, doesn't have much detail, so it's just the whites of his eyes and Pattinson's massive jaw peeking out of the darkness.
Armoured but not overly techy with a leather cape would work. The worst IMO is the Nolan suit. The matte black armour up against the dark satin-looking cape just doesn't go well
Who's stopping you?
>leather cape
gross
looks like he has his blankey wrapped around him
>Who's stopping you?
society..they might laff
Just ignore them bb
Does what specifically?
Oh in case any NPCs are reading pic related is SOUL
Oh you meant long cape? Sorry I missed OP's text.
It's kino but you'll probably never see something like Spawn, in live action or in cosplay. Just too impractical.
literally perfect
This is how Batman's cape should be. Not starting from behind his back, but starting from his chest
70s blue dark detective Batman is criminally underrated
NO CAPES!
BTAS has dozens of fantastic scenes to pull from to see how to correctly portray Batman fighting, and all of his other mannerisms for that matter. Too bad all these movies act like that show doesn't exist. Only Arkham has paid respect to it and it's the best Batman media outside of that cartoon continuity.
Which has the cape wrap around him like this
Bro
It looks like TAS, which was awesome.
Give me silver age nonsense.
No it doesn't, the TAS suit has the cowl and cape as one part, and it can actually wrap around the whole body naturally.
I'm not seeing the resemblance
I always pick the blue 70s suit when I play arkham city.
Blue 70s Batman is criminally underrated.
Yeah I agree. The Patman cowl is near perfect (I don't like the ears), it's a leather recreation of the 60s Batman. Look at them side by side you'll see the seams of Patman's cowl line up and it's instantly obvious.
Personally I prefer cloth over armored. Comic book movies suspend reality enough I can buy into a bulletproof weave or implied armor under coating. The bulletproof cape idea posted ITT is great too.
for me it is white eyes
fuck literally all modern directors for failing this one simple detail
The visible eyes worked really well with the Patman. Batfleck could've had all white eyes and not really lost anything, he expressed just as well when he had the white eyed armored suit, but seeing the human eyes peering out Patman cowl was kinesque, he conveyed a lot through them.
Nolan's batman had them for like 5 seconds.
Blue Batman with a draping cape lasted well into the 90s. That's when I first started reading the comics. First I got the TAS comics and then jumped right into the 90s main Batman comics.
cont'd
Armor doesn't really work for me. It's just not aesthetically pleasing. All the details are reminiscent of the "lines everywhere" philosophy of the New 52 designs.
And it looked terrible and turned the movie into a video game mission

Maybe if the design choices for tacticool stuff took inspiration from medieval knight armor I'd be more interested. A large open piece of armor in the middle, for example would make a great canvas for the Bat symbol rather than it being made up of a hundred tiny pieces like Patman or nearly invisible like Bateman's.
I don't know who does the modelling for Alex Ross's paintings but it shows me that you don't have to sacrifice cloth for realism of aesthetics.
During the 90s, Batman went from blue to dark navy blue back to black. Sometimes it depended on the artist or series.
I wish the movies drop the whole gliding thing and just let batman use the Grapling hook
fixed
He does use the grapling hook
WB is terrified in making a comic accurate Batman for some reason.
>and you told me
just dress like a flying rodent, son lmao
accurate how
except for Robin
Bats aren't rodents
They're basically rats with wings.
They're not and they're not rodents. I'll rayp u
Just look at them. And yes plz.
Best era hands down
They're visually and taxonomically distinct and I've decided I'm not going to rayp u
I'm talking very clearly about the color contrast between the bodysuit and the cape, you drooling simpleton.
That's not clear at all. You sound upset.
el rata alada
The colour contrast only works when the cowl is the same colour as the cape though. If the whole suit is one shade of black and the cape is just slightly off, it looks bad
How is Batman holding joker’s hands behind his back? This is worrying.
They are tied
laaame
this guy gets it, based
