The only thing I don't understand is how people say The Mandalorian is good, yet BOBF is bad.

Well, in Mandalorian, at least the characters act coherent and the narration makes sense. Bobba is basically you bewilderingly watching characters act out their brain damage.

yes, the tusken arc was good, but it only lasted 2 episodes, and was only featured for 50% of those episodes

lol, I love how the Tuskens are meant to be the kings of the desert, but they are actually full retards who run into any laser fired at them and need to have even the most basic concepts explained to them. It had its good parts (mostly thanks to silver Mando lol) but it vexed me that it couldn’t make up its mind about what it was suppose to be.
Was it supposed to be a “changed man” story? He’s saving the community in one instance then destroying it with a rancor in the next? Also they annulled the end of Mando S2 with Luke being an Indian Giver for baby peeps. Just a messy product all around.

I didn't find that to be the case at all. The mandalorian himself just changes depending on whatever the script needs him to be at the moment. And you get these bizarre adhd narratives:

But wasn't it great to find out how what seems like a genuine friendship between the two was actually just him taking her to a hospital, and she sticking around, probably because she was afraid he'd find something pointy and hurt himself.

This show is so frustrating, it could have been good if they just changed a couple of things.

The show was poorly structured all together. First they should have started the show with a prequel movie about his time with Tuskens so there wasn't so much time taken away from the present to show all of that. Then it would have been much better if Bib had been the main antagonist and Boba and Fennec come to the city and Boba starts to be the new sheriff in town who unites the city against Bib and his corruption and then finally gets into the palace and takes out Fortuna to usurp the throne. Then he learns the Pykes are the ones actually controlling everything and now he has reason to war against them to get revenge for them killing his Tusken tribe. That could be the focus of a second season so there's actually time to expand on all of the crime lord musings. There was just so much stuff that was set up out of nowhere and had zero pay off or had pay off but no set up.

Yes, but those plot contrivances only occurred between episodes. Not sure why he went where he went, but when he was there, I understood what he is doing. Try to hide, stumble over a bad guy, decide to do something, kill him, get discovered, off to the next planet. Not great, but ok for an adventure serial.

I think the problem with Bobba is, that the show tells you what he wants, only it doesn't make sense, his actions don't seem to further his goal, but his deluded goals and his confused stumbling is presented as courageous and wise.
I think it is this tonal confusion what makes Boby so hilariously bad, where Mandalorian is a decent if plain show.

Maybe Boba kino for true Star Wars fans just isn't for you. Don't worry, Disney's giving you Prequel meme zoomers what you want next month.

I liked how Boba got super protective of a town he never lived in, and has no connection whatsoever, where people don't give a shit about him, and in the end brings more destruction, by bringing the fight there, rather than at Jabbas palace. Did the people of Mos Espa even cared who rules over them? They seemed to be perfectly fine with Pykes.

And don't even get me started about Teenage Cyborg Vespa Gang. If they ever show up again, it should be only to show them die horribly. Especialy the 360 no scope guy.

All I can figure is Disney said Boba Fett is popular lets do a spinoff show of him and then had no plan for him past that. Probably the more they dug into the character the more they decided to tone him down/make him entirely different from what people wanted + trying to shoehorn in Mando and Gogru for merchandising and in the end we got a show that was a hodgepodge of half fleshed out ideas and a weak overall storyline with a few good set pieces here and there.
