i was kinda disappointed in this. Could've been better

the pepper mace kiss scene is one of Pixar's worst. It wasn't romantic at all

Ratatouille is a really weird movie
>anti war
>social commentary about minorities
>about following your dreams
>but also untalented parasites
>critic loses his job and reputation
>fine with it
>romance story

Can we call her Madam Tootie for short?

>Linguini got heavily drunk on wine last night and didn't brush his teeth
must've been a nasty kiss

I'm moving to france

She's French What do you expect?

She admitted to bribing sellers at the market. Was it always cash?

She's white so obviously not french

is there a more elitist animated film than this?

Reminder that Colette and Linguini probably fucked the night they went on a motorcycle ride after work

U gay or something? It’s a great moment, she was about to nuke his eyeballs

anyone can cook tho

meds

you can tell Brad Bird took over as director halfway through as opposed to being the director from the start. Unlike The Incredibles, it doesn't feel like Bird loved the characters when writing the script. That's because they aren't his characters

They did. Loudly. Multiple times. It woke their neighbors two floors down.

>elitist
Can you explain?

What is this expression trying to convey?

>I want you to stir up my guts like you stirred that souffle

french """"""""cuisine"""""""""

I want to suck on her nose.

I think that's why it resonated so well and almost transcended the genre. It used kind of a philosophy to add a powerful layer to the storytelling.

I'd say it's also somewhat anti-capitalist, critiquing the evil chef's desire to take Gusteau's craftsmanship and repackage it as microwave fare for the lowest-common denominator mass market.

delet this thanks

>I want you to fill my baguette

I don't think you know what qualifies as French these days dude

it had the same producer from Antz. Of course it's anti-capitalist

The logical explanation you could argue is Pinakva wanted it to be more radical while Bird and the board wanted it to be more universal. You can interpret the chef as Walt Disney’s successors as everyone at Pixar hated Eisner and no one wanted to merge with Disney. Sadly, their worst fears have basically come true. I don’t think anyone was intending it to be interpreted as anti capitalist directly but more just artistic purism.

I want her to suck my balls while her jew nose tickles my anus

I can honestly say that Antz contributed to making me anti-capitalist and anti-imperialist.

Hollywood overwhelmingly promotes sycophantic propaganda for US foreign policy, but some critique does get through, like Starship Troopers and Canadian Bacon.
