HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAHA

THEY ARE GIVING UP

Attached: LOLOL.png (1492x1198, 268.9K)

This was always the plan.

>the villain is finally defeated but he is kept alive for the plot

two more weeks

here’s how Netflix can still win

Oh great, i can watch ads between my D tier netflix spinoff version of an A tier movie

>now you can watch, umm... ummm.... but with ads!
jesus fucking christ they are pathetic. The reason people stopped subscribing is because they literally have nothing

Attached: 1596159956199.jpg (1100x1007, 62.45K)

KEK

>fine, we'll drop the price, but you have to watch more ads
no deal
that's not dropping the price, it's reformatting it
and you know they're gonna keep increasing the ad time over the years until we're back at the cable abomination

Attached: no go away.jpg (750x744, 83.46K)

Yup.

I don't know how you all don't see where this is going. Ad free streaming is gonna go bye bye and it's gonna be tv providers all over again
>oh you wanna watch the stuff that's actually worth watching? That'll be extra
>you wanna only pay for what you wanna watch and not the garbage that composes the lower end plan and most of the higher end one? Sorry that's not how if works
>oh you don't want ads? Sorry we need our sponsors to provide you with the quality service we do
Premium plan will just be the latest movies and popular shows, all will have ads and we will get more articles about how streaming service 52 is losing money due to pirates

shouldn't have pulled out of russia

>no competitive moat
>low effort content
>continual price raises

They have the worst streaming library by far. Fucking NOTHING is on there.

You deserve this for not supporting Netflix in their time of need. I hope you’re happy with what you did.

Have they considered not pumping countless millions of dollars into garbage original programming? I'm sure it's very difficult to create great art but it's not that hard to know it when you see it. Great artists exist, and Netflix has the money to pay them. How are they not finding these people?

Please delete that image. It hurts

I could create it but they 2 gay. They gave a show to warren ellis and he called me a genius once and I shit all over him

>THEY ARE GIVING UP
nope
the ad version will eventually reach the non-ad version cost

if you can't sell a better product make everything shittier and charge for more

anons have been saying here since the beginning of streaming that it would just become internet cable service. fact is they have no competative moat and people are doing netflix better than netflix.

because the countless millions they put out of original programming would become billions if they hired competent well established figures and aimed for the same output they have today.

Anybody else notice HBO Max started showing skippable ads? It use to be completely adfree.

for me its HBOmax

Giving up? this is how they win.

i just use kodi, why the fuck would i pay for tv and movies?

they had two options. Either lease the IP like Spotify, or make their own.
They chose... poorly

If they don't make their own content then they won't have anything left in a few years because everyone and their dog has their own streaming service now.
This whole experiment started going downhill when streaming services started being content producers instead of merely distribution hosts.

The second age of piracy is ahead lads

Attached: download car.jpg (616x364, 32.34K)

this, I’m consistently baffled that so many people still use it whenever I spend one second looking at the catalog, it’s only dogshit originals and straight to video tier acquisitions

>because the countless millions they put out of original programming would become billions if they hired competent well established figures
no it wouldn't, they will never be HBO or even AMC, nothing they make will ever have a real fan base

>paying to see ads
damn their execs are truly retarded

>programming
You said it yourself, it;s not fucking art but programming for the masses.

Chek'em trips of kali yuga. We live in hell, to exist is to suffer. Have faith in the fact that you're not the only player character in this world.

Spotify is still the best streaming service imo. I know it doesn't have the lossless shit, but I'm convinced nobody gives a shit about that except a few nerds, and it has the best library, interface, and social aspect

If it's free with ads I'll bite but pulling out my credit card is one step too many and I may as well pirate.

>there was a time when Netflix had Adult Swim shows, Futurama, King of the Hill, Always Sunny, Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon cartoons, Malcolm in the Middle, and a bunch of other goodies that made the convenience seem worth it
What happened?

>has ads
>they still expect me to pay

Attached: 1601723956811.jpg (708x531, 68.88K)

can i just go back to cable television ?

>Have faith in the fact that you're not the only player character in this world.

you're an npc

Now that Netflix lost its last bit of appeal I can talk my parents into the superior Sky subscription

Attached: index.jpg (197x256, 9.78K)

Nah, their business model had to shift because all their competitors own the content. Netflix was kicking ass when it could lease stuff for cheap because it wasn’t getting screentime anymore, but the writing was on the wall as soon as the vertically integrated companies entered the market. Pivot or die are the only options left, and it looks like they’re going to do what they can but ultimately die.

Why do they keep employing Mike Flannigan

Other services saw how much money they were making and took their shows back.
That's hulu. Not to mention amazon video where you subscribe but still have to buy shit

We already are well on our way. Once every streaming service has cheaper ad options, it'll be like cable never left.

yes, it's still available.

the mega archive i got from Yea Forums in 2019 has been mostly deleted

All I can do is pay or not pay and tell others to do the same. My standards are simple, no ads at a reasonable price or no buy. If that standard becomes unworkable, I’ll find other ways to pass the time. Fuck advertisers

Have they tried not pumping billions into absolutely horrendous adaptations of past works by liberal hollywood, and instead focus on just acquiring a decent library of content to begin with? 99% of the shit they make is absolute fucking trash that no one watches, and then 1% knocks it out the park like stranger things and squid game.

There’s 2 tiers of hbomax. One with ads and one with none

I hate when people mistake wordplay with cleverness.
It has been called programming since forever. The term literally predates computers.

Year by year they lost more and more shows as new streaming services came up. Then everyone realized 99% of their original catalog is garbage. Where Netflix really shines is in crime/murder docuseries

>You wouldn't download a car.
>Implying people won't just download car models and print them part by part with 3D printers.
Future is beautiful.

uuuh, how about no??

if i could download a car i sure fucking would

Better call Saul, Seinfeld, Ghibli movies, etc.

Cable chads
WE ARE SO FUCKING BACK

>anons have been saying here since the beginning of streaming that it would just become internet cable service.
It will. Paramount has ad plan. Now Netflix. Iirc HBO has one too.
>fact is they have no competative moat and people are doing netflix better than netflix.
Definitely, thanks to places that actually make stuff people enjoy either starting their own service, or at the very least pulling their stuff and moving it for a better deal (or in the case of Amazon buying a movie studio)
Netflix can't compete but it doesn't matter. All are gonna go ad based and you'll either have to pirate or pay a billion dollars every month. It'll be cable company but worse with multiple bills, so that you can watch what you used to be able to, now with a bigger price and the same amount of ads
>you mean your family wants to be able to watch James bond, starwars, nickelodeon, Scooby-Doo, sports, and how it's made? That'll be $120 a month

Not at all how it works. No one sold them content and no one was ever going to. They leased everything, that was the only option. It worked when they were the only streaming service with any real traction and could get things for cheap, but ultimately it looks like they cant keep up with the more established companies

I used the term 30 minute program to describe a tv show just yesterday ironically so don't think you are smart you thick piece of shit My point still stands on the programming, sorry it pissed your kike ass off. You're not as clever as you think.

The consumers will never win. Ever.

>ads
>cheap

why not give it for free if there's ads?

Attached: file.png (976x658, 257.19K)

>plays fortnite instead

Dish network is back baby! Those channels that wanted to jack up prices are gonna come crawling back

cool it with the anti semitism

>cheaper with ads

so you still have to fucking pay? LMAO
that format only works when it's free like the stuff on prime that's free with ads

>verification not required
this doesn't mean anything you retarded npc

>Better call Saul
Not even an exclusive. AMC + exists

THEY DEED IT

It would be really funny if in the near future streaming subscriptions became too expensive and were all filled with ads anyway and everyone started going back to cable.

Attached: 1628577168781s.jpg (125x125, 3.37K)

I hate corporations so much it’s unreal

>anons have been saying here since the beginning of streaming that it would just become internet cable service.
literally duh retard.

nevermind the fact that there are more ads than ever before in human history.

>fortnite now has ads and online play will cost money to ensure security

>AMC +
never heard of her

in fact quite the contrary user. everyone supported netflix for over a decade now. it worked at first because it had most of the content people wanted. but as the studios got greedy and pulled their shows, netlfix decided to operate by pumping out original shows. the problem is that these shows are expensive af to create, which means a higher subscriber price. also these shows just don't carry the hype for the higher price,

>the spectrum silver plan is back
Ah yeah

uhhh but for me its free i just download on rarbg/eztv and use my money to fuck a hooker

Man if you thought ads on cable were getting intolerable can't wait to see what they have planned

For fuck's sake just pirate like a normal human being or just buy some DVDs and Blu-rays like a Chad.

I wouldn't say that if you take them all into account like paramount and all the *insertchannel*+
It's probably still top 4

Cnn+
Amc+
Usps tracking plus (yes its real)
There's alot of subscription services I bet you haven't heard of
I'm waiting for spike tv to come back with its own streaming. Manswers + 1000 ways to die + deadliest warrior beats most crap out there

Imagine paying to see ads, that shit should be free lmao fuck those kikes

>netlfix decided to operate by pumping out original shows. the problem is that these shows are expensive af to create,
Well also that they are dogshit.

>This whole experiment started going downhill when streaming services started being content producers instead of merely distribution hosts.
they kinda had to though. they were licensing the content through third parties, who saw netflix's success and said "hey, we can do that", and so they did.

>paramount
Has Trek
Has halo
Has movies from the studio
Has new releases like scream
Dedinetly on par if not better than netflix

no one above the age of 50 or under the age of 20 knows how to torrent or will ever want to learn how

>Ghibli movies
I could’ve sworn I saw totoro and spirit away on hbo the other day. Are you sure?

And you'll buy it goy.
This.

fuck this, cable TV was comfier anyway, I prefer to sit back and watch what is on
I'll use the Netflix money to get the sports package

>Has halo
lol, lmao

>average revenue of 20 billion
>its a failure because they cant infinitely generate new subscribers and increase profits

capitalism rocks

>free with ads
yeah that won't happen. all streaming services have ads tiers and they all cost money.

At any point in time the people in every country could decide to do to billionaires and bankers what was done to Gadaffi and in the same way society no longer tolerates monarchy in the west we can choose to no longer tolerate the excesses running rampant today. Nothing lasts forever and rich elites are parasites growing increasingly out of touch in their arrogance and opulence, people haven’t fully grasped how weak their masters are and how dependent they are on their goons and middlemen and keeping the spotlight off themselves as individuals. If making the Forbes list presented a greater risk than reward, I’m willing to bet many would be less gung ho in their devotion to Mammon

I haven't watched it. It bad?

Literally still use it because I'm too lazy to put my Seinfeld DVDs on.

>(You)

I’m more nervous one day the same companies will become the isps as well. For now there’s a shifting hierarchy of power but eventually a fire phone, Apple isp, or google studios might get some momentum and then it’s all fucked. AT&T is almost there

Seinfeld autists made me aware that it shouldn´t have been formatted to 16:9 and now I can´t unsee the off camera perspective in a lot of BlueRay remasters

I haven't watched it either because it looks like complete shit. I've played every Halo since CE release too.

Haven't heard anything good from it, not sure how it's viewer ratings are but I dont think that really even matter for streaming sites

Well, in my country, Netflix is the one with all the Ghibli catalogue. Lots of famous anime shows as well like Death Note, Fullmetal Alchemist, Evangelion, Beastars, Cowboy Bebop, etc.

Sometimes this site is funny lol

They could try making things people want to watch.

>At any point in time the people in every country could decide to do to billionaires and bankers what was done to Gadaffi and in the same way society no longer tolerates monarchy in the west we can choose to no longer tolerate the excesses running rampant today.
lmao yes the vaxxers are going to get rid of their iphones and lynch all the heckin (((whites))) who control the brands

The moment HBO max does this I’m canceling

>in my country
Ohhh. Why not just say the country though you sperg?

spotify is horrible
>awful library patched with all kinds of terrible re-recordings, live albums and ghost artists. >the app is dogshit, on PC it has a serious memory leak issue and their UI redesigns get continually worse and worse.
>Android has not been touched in years, I think iOS is the only thing they care about
>terrible shuffle made to intentionally play the same tracks over and over that generate the most revenue
>shit music quality

My bad, I'm from Mexico.

HBO has existed for decades.

"Programming" in the definition you bring up meant the same thing in the context of propaganda predating computers too. Where did you think the word came from after all?
You are barking at a ghost, one that wasn't in the post you replied to.

>shit music quality
it's alright, actually. and good if you're not le hipster audiofag.

How many sites do you actually pay for and not just have the login from a friend/family member?
I had prime but canceled it nearly 2 years ago
