Nacho is a loose end. If Gus kills him the Salamancas will get suspicious. They need to be the ones to kill him. But they will probably interrogate him first. If they do that he will reveal Gus was behind it. By giving him a gunt he will make sure Salamancas will have to kill him.

In this first episode when she tells him "Sauk should have a fancier car" or "a bigger office", it is a start to later tell him more about how Saul should behave "He should annoy her secretary with sexual jokes" or "He should live in a huge house fucking hookers" when in reality Saul is BrBa is still the Jimmy that loves her.
