Wait what the fuck

Wait what the fuck
I had no idea

Even when you know it's him, you can't even see it apart from the eyes, he sounds completely different.

When are we getting our first completely made up movie star?

>When are we getting our first completely made up movie star?
final fantasy spirits within (2001)

you can't spell penguin without penin

He was unironically amazing in that role. If you look carefully, you can kinda tell it's him by the mannerisms and the way he speaks, if you've seen a lot of his films, but otherwise yeah you would have no idea.

he's a great actor but everytime he makes a hollywood blockbuster he picks the worst choice possible

i could, his eyebrows are unmistakable

>movie star
yeah,no

This nigga needs to watch more.

how does it compare to Bullseye

His lower jaw where this prosthetic looks a bit discolored, is it like that in the movie too?

He is the best thing in the movie and he did an amazing job. So many little character touches in his expressions and his voice, it was brilliant. I watched The North Water recently and Farrell was unrecognisable there too. He is on a serious roll. It is very dull that most actors simply play themselves in every role, so I like that Farrell is actually becoming another person, completely.

And yeah, the make-up is really good. Other movies I have seen where they use extensive make-up or CGI to alter an actor significantly has always flopped for me, but Farrell made it work.

Reminds me of Rob Brydon or Chris Morris or some other british guy with thick waxy skin and dead eyes. They did a pretty good job.

>thinking movie stars are actually real people

I see it now but I had no idea he was in this movie at all

You can't spell your mom without my penis

That's where his facial hair is.

I don't get it. Good prosthetics are a thing for a long time already. Why does he think Farrell's make-up is in any way superior from what was done before?

objectively wrong fag

he got fat, check him out in north water

the "innovation" was underlighting the whole film.

Name some movies with prosthetics that are as extensive as used for the Penguin in this movie.

Only recent movie I can think of is Black Mass with Johnny Depp, and that is just a wig and some aging (and it was still really obvious and distracting).

Luke, in the Mandalorian
how did sakaguchi know

Dude there are music clips that have good prosthetics. Search Sabrina by Einsturzende Neubauten. They are even more extensive than Penguin's and that was done 15 years ago.

It was hilarious, like a De Niro parody

For what purpose.... CIA just wanted to test some political disguises or something so they did this. Would have been KINO if they hired an actual, nasty, creepy cockney guy but we're only allowed to see like 8 actors and actresses across all media, so oh well, film was doomed from the get go

>Sabrina by Einsturzende Neubauten

Just watched that. Very cool. BUT that's an animal. I should have specified, realistic prosthetics to turn one human into another human.

We've all seen fantasy prosthetics before and they are really good. But because they are fantasy we can forgive certain things, like not having full motion, or whatever. The difficult thing is taking one person and making them look like another person without it looking like Dick Tracey like

KINO

At that point why not just cast an actor who already looks like that?

Bas
Ado

>irish
>white

>chziga chziga chziga chziga

Didn't they do that for suspiria?

Attached: download.jpg (281x179, 6.77K)

the film was just too dark to see anything innit

asked myself that too, especially seeing how cartoony farrells performance is, sometimes i had paolo from house of gucci vibes from him.

How can that hack Jared Leto even compete? He becomes completely unrecognizable without any retarded "hijinks" for attention to get into le role

It was legit impressive. Either everyone else sucks at transformative makeup, or no one else really tries, or whoever did the makeup was a genius, or makeup technology came a long way.

He's a fair amount older between those two pictures for one.

>doesn't look like a famous person
>doesn't sound like a famous person
>it's actually a famous person in make up

why not just hire someone who isn't famous and save all that money? do they even need big stars for batman? shit like that the branding sells the entire thing.

Norbit

Reminder to watch In Bruges if you haven't for Colin Kino

Actually, it was surprisingly not
Though I did watch it in HDR

Yeah I watched it last night and when Colin Farrell came up in the credits I was like wait whaaaaaaa?

based flattop

Shoulda just been Richard Kind

Stallone?

I think that's dunkacino from jack and jill

Too kind

I knew that was Henry Drax's Bloodline

Id want to be unrecognizable too, if I was in the batman.

Silicone is nothing new, its the blending and texturing thats important.
Im more impressed by the paint work on that silicone jaw, really nice, someone probably spend months doing just couple of copies.

And then he talks

I remember everyone used to shit on Colin for being a dreadful actor.

Halloween Kills had a bunch of problems but the makeup work on it was amazing

>he sounds completely different

He doesn't. Sounds exactly like he usually does.

wtf I didn't know it was him, thought it was just some actor who played italian mob types before

EVIL DIES TONIGHT!

Is it more common for Penguin to be a British guy or what they were going for here? I feel like I see him more as a British guy

Attached: 1634046255880.jpg (474x772, 63.93K)

He's American in all the movies but he was British in the Arkham Asylum video game series

Wait till he finds out how advanced voice synthesizers have become. Pretty soon acting won't be a thing outside of theatre. Feature films and television will become entirely digital and AI based soon
