It is strange how the film has 0 fanbase anywhere though. I don't even think I can recall seeing Avatar fanart online. And for something this expensive you'd think they would've started marketing by now.

for me it's basically sci-fi james cameron porn the gunships the power suits the fuck huge lander the tech is as close to him redoing and expanding his work on aliens as we'll ever get concidering his age and boy do i love aliens - no shade on ridley, i love both those guys and their films for different reasons i don't super care for the na'vi themselves but everything else about the planet is just so.... lush, it's like eye drops in movie form, pandora is a crazy place that has so much to offer and the underwater stuff in the new one is likely to be great, he did go to the fucking bottom of the ocean himself in his own sub, i think the movie of that is free on youtube the weakest but also maybe strongest aspect of avatar is that nearly everyone is easy to identify and it makes most scenes really perdictable all the characters wear their hearts on their sleeves and there's very little development of a lot of them maybe that's intended for getting butts in seats, i wonder how foreign viewers see the characters and their acting compared to other big films that come out
