I liked most of the cast. Didn't like the monologue by Catwoman. If they hadn't made it a racial thing it definitely would've improved. People say it's in character for her, and maybe it is, but idk, seemed a little unnecessary. I like Riddler as a tryhard incel type. It's not too far off from his characterization. I liked Batman hanging around crime scenes and solving crimes, but I still feel like it could've been done better somehow.

They want to push a twist that Thomas was crooked like every white character in the movie, but the director is also afraid of people hating the movie for shitting on the Waynes so he backs out from that twist with a non-twist that maybe that happened or not. Alfred himself says he can't be sure.
Same with the idea of this Batman being unhinged and violent, something that was present in every fucking trailer for this movie, but despite Batman beating people up with extreme prejudice nobody dies because the director is once again afraid of people shitting on the movie for having a killer Batman.

What i am saying that the director pushed the narrative that this movie was more realistic and gritty than past movies. That the trailers sold the idea of this Batman being unhinged and violent. That this movie explored the idea of Thomas Wayne being crooked which was something that would rock Batman's world. And several other shit. But instead of exploring said ideas in an honest way the movie just backs away from the nasty consequences. It is a pussy move. It is disappointing. It makes the movie feel safe and generic.
