Peak soul however is and will always be going to rent dvds from your local library. They have some stuff there that I never would have even considered looking up and watching otherwise.

It was a local family owned video rental store that I walked to every weekend. Parents gave us $5 to rent something as allowance. They were so nice, if they didn't have a game or movie we wanted in stock, we could ask and they would order a copy for us to rent. They'd also sell their games to us at highly discounted prices when they were pulling them from the shelves. It's how I got my original copy of Final Fantasy II. They knew us by name. Even gave me free candy with my rental a few times.

My local corner video store was awesome. Not many people went there, so they actually had movies in stock. The blockbuster was always out of whatever you wanted. The porn room was great because the idiots would keep the actual tapes in the room. Like, if you wanted to rent one, they had the box set up as a display, with the vhs behind it and you just grabbed the vhs and went to the checkout.

So anyway, I figured out how to sneak into the porn room, grab an armful of the tapes, then run over to the night deposit slot and slide them outside. Then I'd run out and collect them all in my backpack. I literally have like 75 porno tapes to this day still that i stole that way. I keep planing on digitally transferring them but i never get around to it.

Anyway, they caught on to this eventually and started keeping the tapes behind the counter.

My city has a dude who rents out dvds now. Mainly horror but there is a little variety. It's a fun place to go, selection is incredibly easily 2000 movies to choose from. Chances are if it's a horror movie he will have it and most other cult selections are there
