When and why did he start dressing like pedo Santa Claus?

a lot can happen in 20 years

Avada Kedavra'ing all the jews takes a lot out of a man.

when his broken faggot asshole forced him to wear diapers 24/7. robe hides them,

All costume work lots its soul in HP3. They stopped caring.

turns out fucking bussy drains your life force like you wouldn't believe

AIDS

He became headmaster of Hogwarts. Stress does that to you.
But he was around 45 in the first picture and 65 in the second, it's possible

>be wizard
>wear muggle clothes wizards apparently had no idea about
David Yates is a hack

Attached: bulking-steroids.jpg (560x327, 28.59K)

he hit the wall

Madame Pomfrey could've fixed it

in fairness, J K Rowling's lore is incredibly stupid and contradictory.

Clothing was a pretty basic component, and David Yates (and Alfonso Cuaron) completely threw it out so they could make a boilerplate teen drama where magic is just wimpy firecrackers

In the books all wizards dress in flashy robes and wizard outfits. When they were forced to dress in muggle clothes they dressed oddly and stood out because they didn't understand the fashion. In one scene an old man was wearing a women's dress because it was the closest thing to his wizard robes he could find in a muggle shop.

The movies slowly did away with this because it's rather silly.

How can wizards not know about normal fashion if Harry grew up on an estate with a muggle family, and still got invited to study at Hogwarts. His parents also wear normal clothes

>man was wearing a women's dress
Ha! Now that would be ridiculous!

>The movies slowly did away with this because the costume designers are lazy twats and having generic outfits is also cheaper
FTFY

I asked this on the last thread. Some user suggested wizard society underwent some movement to reject mugglefashion and embrace tradition sometime in the 70s.

So, what is your question?

So they dress like Africans?

Why did wizards and witches start dressing like renaissance fair rejects when they looked all dapper and up to date in the '30s?

There's one moment in Order of the Phoenix , I think. When Dumbledore meets Harry in London and even then he's wearing his conspicuous robes in public. Did he not save any of those suits?

>Why did wizards and witches start dressing like renaissance fair rejects when they looked all dapper and up to date in the '30s?
Because the nu-movies are cringe and non-canon, obviously. Wizards wear robes, only dirty muggle lovers wear muggle clothing

>Lived 115 years
>Was murdered

Niggas do be like that when they get tenure.

He was always supposed to have a beard. The new films forget what made wizards look like actual fucking wizards. Enough with this zoomer Grindelwald shit. FUCK.

Just FUCK it. God. I hate young wizards, or just wizards without actual bloody beards. It's so counter to the trope. But everyone wants to do their oooown thiinnnng, derp, despite not realizing that having everyone look young is 100x more repetitive and overdone/annoying. Notice how Hermione, despite being a prodigy, isn't schooling the adults like in literally every goddamn magic-school anime?

Because he no longer needed to make others comfortable, only himself.

If they wanted to tone down on the beard/hair, they should have made him look more academically frail, not some hunkish wizard.

muggles have fashion trends why shouldn't wizards ?

Obviously there's exceptions you fucking mongoloid. He's talking about wizards who grow up around wizards and interact with only wizards

A lot can happen in a short amount of time.

Sure, but then in the '30s it was dress just like a muggle and in '70s-'90s it was robes and pointy hats all around?

How do spells work? Do they go through a thesaurus to construct some vaguely Latin-sounding word until it does something?

It is also said that high-level wizards like Dumbledore don't have to pronounce spells to cast magic, but Harry has no idea what the effect of Sectumseptra is supposed to be, but it still works.

You know if he lost the weight and grew his hair back he would have looked every bit as good as he did in the 60s

The rules are always vague and ill-defined in Potterverse.

The HP timeline and chronology gets very muddled and never made any sense. Exactly when the films (or books) are set is never made clear, yet officially Harry was born July 31, 1980.

really? I look just like him and want my youth back

Sure, who cares? According to Goblet of Fire at one point frilly dress robes were in fashion

it's comfy. when your looks are gone you have a powerful tenured position, you go comfy mode

Yeah you're not an old man yet are you?

If they wanted to make Dumbledore proper they should have cast Jared Harris. Richard Harris played Dumbledore and his son is the spitting image of him

Attached: 7n_richardharrissonto00.jpg (1024x768, 69.54K)

Jude Law even plays young Dumbledore like Jared Harris

All of a sudden everyone forget that Dumbledore was from Slytherin

No wonder he liked taking it up the ass

>Stand aside, Madame Pomfrey
>Rectium Emendo
what happens?

Attached: lockhart.png (253x161, 81.87K)

I like it

God forbid a children's series about child wizards who solve crimes at school should be silly

They did the right thing with Sean Pertwee playing the Third Doctor now, when his dad played him back in the day

Attached: image (3).png (1024x585, 440.39K)

>Jared Harris is Richard Harris' son.

Attached: wee-bey.webm (576x432, 678.34K)

Yeah that too.

It fucked me up too. I think that other Harris actor running around is another son or sibling, the one in Mission Impossible whatever.

A sexy Dumbledore? Bit mental innit

Yep. The most important thing these movies had is the atmosphere. The first book and the first movie are the best because both do a good job of creating a charmingg and whimsical atmosphere.

Too kino for hairy potter

>In one scene an old man was wearing a women's dress because it was the closest thing to his wizard robes
Crossdressing is also the funniest thing ever if you're British.

>In one scene an old man was wearing a women's dress because it was the closest thing to his wizard robes he could find in a muggle shop.

As a joke?! PROBLEMATIC

>Twink Hemsworth
HUMINA HUMINA HUMMINA

Damn JK Rowling was subtly redpilling the young generation against trannies. God bless.

I don't dress the same as I did 20 years ago.

It's silly but at least it adds a bit of soulful flavor to the world.
