I never understood what was the point of Sopranos. Besides mindless entertainment really. All of these people genuinely getting invested and placing higher meaning over the show or it's like are beyond mentally ill. Realistically, was it supposed to humanize gangsters? Because it didn't. Despite all of the pain and suffering the cast goes through you need to remind yourself that they are absolute scum, all of them are genuinely evil people that are parasites on our community. Movie after movie tries to desperately paint criminals in a humane light while showcasing their extremely psychopathic and deranged natures over and over. Tony is a horrible person, likeable in an entertaining way but nevertheless an absolute monster. So is the rest of the crew. There is absolutely no redeeming quality to these criminals and there is nothing deep or complex about crime, morality or the law.
