The wailing

man from no where and tae guk gi are the only korean movies i find acceptable

watched memories of murder for the first time in about 10 years and it's still great

thats the best way to watch all movies

she's homely in the beginning, but by the end she is breathtaking

Attached: mido ending.webm (1280x554, 2.97M)

I really enjoyed this, but rarely hear anyone talk about it.

Attached: cotm.png (632x902, 1.52M)

indeed also A Hard Day cause the poster is in gookspeak

her moans while she was fucking him were hot. burning is top tier and there was a good thread about it yesterday

it was popular here for a bit. k threads don't last long so they're easy to miss. regardless, excellent movie

>Confessions
Is Japanese, pleb

was able to figure it out, just this dude in Jo Pil-ho: Dawning of Rage. it was alright.

ive watched A Man From Nowhere. definitely elite tier

The wailing is great. just watched Svaha: the sixth finger. not as good but decent horror/mystery/thriller

Late Autumn. talky sort of romance thing. I liked it.

Oldboy is trash, if you like that movie and want recommendations, I suggest you get some fucking taste
pleb

I'm a big fan of Korean cinema, so here's a list of the best of their thriller/crime/drama movies:

Burning
The Chaser
Oldboy
Sympathy For Mister Vengeance
Sympathy For Lady Vengeance
Memories of Murder
Memoir of a Murderer
Confession of Murder
Voice of a Murderer(Geu nom moksori)
Mother
Pieta
A Bittersweet Life
New World
I Saw The Devil
The Man From Nowhere
A Hard Day
Friend(aka Chingoo, 2001)
Dark Figure of Crime
The Outlaws
Believer (2018)
Asura: The City of Madness
Cold Eyes
The Vanished
Forgotten
No Mercy (2010)
The Yellow Sea
Unstoppable

In addition to that, there's also some great non-thriller/drama/crime movies from Korea that are seemingly hit or miss to people, but that I still consider great movies:

The Wailing
Thirst
Train To Busan
Bedevilled
Peppermint Candy
Parasite
JSA(Joint Security Area)
The Handmaiden
The Host(a lot of people find this movie to be kinda goofy, be warned)
A Tale of Two Sisters

If anyone else has some similar movies that I haven't mentioned here, please let me know.

oh wow nice list whats your top 3?

Bleak Night
one of my favourite movies of all time

Spring Summer Autumn Winter and Spring
Oasis
Poetry

A Taxi Driver
The Divine Move
The Good, The Bad, The Weird

Night In Paradise and Veteran are pretty good

Come Rain, Come Shine

Attached: ComeRainComeShine.jpg (504x720, 63.84K)

It's very hard to pick just 3, but I'd probably say Burning #1, Oldboy #2 and Mother or Memories of Murder for #3. Honorable mentions to The Wailing, Peppermint Candy and Parasite though.

These all look great, I added them to my to-watch list, thanks.

seconding JSA

Great movie

I add to this list Bad Guy, Breathless, Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter...and Spring, and Once Upon a Time in High School.

korean women are gorgeous. i dont care how fake they are. the fakest most plastic koreans are some of the best looking girls

I'll check them out, thank you.

bahi fancams

One of the best horror movies I've seen in years.

Attached: GonJiam.png (400x574, 438.86K)

if you think korean women are fake, you don't know anything about them and don't deserve them

Attached: jihan natural 2.jpg (1500x1200, 511.95K)

Can't tell by just name but are any of those horror?

>Spring Summer Autumn Winter and Spring
>Oasis

>oh no my super beautiful hot wife is... FAKE!!!

i dont give a fuck what girls do to their body or face as long as it looks good

I Saw the Devil
Memories of Murder
Chanwook Park's Vengeance Trilogy
A Hard Day
Call
Madeo
Office
The Chaser
JSA
Brotherhood of War

Peppermint Candy, very kino film

Attached: R(22).jpg (280x437, 41.35K)

Thirst, Train To Busan and The Wailing are usually labeled as horror, but I don't personally think they are like american horror movies. The only real horror movie on the list would be A Tale of Two Sisters.

where do you watch all these korean movies? cant find most of these on netflix and hulu

>new world
Thank you user. I forgot the name and came to this thread specifically to find this movie.

>Once Upon a Time in High School

really loved this one

its nothing special at all. it just kept things so real and modest. no movie special ending or turn, just reality.

I don't think they'll ever top Memories of murder. A perfect film. Also ironic how shit k-dramas are compared to how good korean films are. The only good k-drama i've found is Pachinko, the rest are trash.

I usually always try to torrent for the quality, but whenever that fails, they are always on 123movies.

go back.

man from nowhere and memories of murder are my two picks. the latter is pretty disturbing

>Poetry is a masterpiece
anything from Lee Chang-dong honestly

Attached: sflv3.jpg (1600x900, 118.14K)

One of the best directors in the world. I don’t agree with most of his views but he’s undeniably one of the most intelligent directors out there, he’s actually considered a public intellectual in Korea

Pure cinematography kino. Why are koreans so good at creating thriller/revenge atmospheres like this?

>watch Yellow Sea
>wow, it's le struggle kino, lets see how the protag overcomes everything and reaches the happy ending
>mfw at the ending
