Rich was right when he said that Trek was often very preachy in the past, but at least back then they TRIED to relate it to some interesting and unique sci-fi story, whereas now they're just so fucking literal about it, no subtltly at all.
I do think both of them are wrong to even bother watching and discussing the show though. It's such utter dogshit that the only reasonable response is to just ignore its existence entirely like I do.
