I’m employed full time (+side gig on the weekends) and have been for years and I still don’t earn enough to live on my own. The shittiest studios in a 4hr radius from my job (equivalent to my current commute) are at least 800 per month and I only get about 1500-1600 per month. Landlord faggots here want me to earn at least 3 times the rent which is engineer-tier wage for someone my age. So I still live with my parents and save up until I can buy a mobile home and some land.

I do all this, and help pay the rent too, and I still feel like a fucking failure. I’m only 23. It’s starting to look like I’m just gonna have to rent forever, because neither of my parents own land anymore since they sold it in the divorce.
