WE HAVE FORGOTTEN TO MASTURBATE

i remember Yea Forums losing their minds during this dream sequence

>scenes that hit too close to home

Was The New Pope just as good?

WE HAVE FORGOTTEN ABOUT THE BEST SERIES EVER MADE
no
this one was innocent, hopeful and untainted by the scheming of men
TNP was just too political
it wasn't bad, just not as good

Attached: 1527980851618.png (1270x1270, 2.48M)

that shitty show that I got baited into watching

>that GOAT show I was too dumb to appreciate
*ftfy

no, but I think that was the point
second sons will never come first

Had some good parts, but I mostly remember the whiplash moments. Jude Law goes 'your way is the only right way' to John Malkovich (there's a scene where John Malkovich says he looks like John Malkovich btw) and it happens with basically no setup.

I didn't understand what was the point of this TV show at all and what's going on, but it's so fucking kino.

I remember watching this scene for the first time when I was high.
The closest thing to a religious experience I've ever had.

for me? it's the Dussolier prayer scene.

This. I really liked Voiello's eulogy in TNP too

season two is so fucking bad

On average no, but it had a lot of excellent moments and I thought John Malkovich was great.

No, although our best boy finally gets his due.

>This is the vicar of Christ, Pope Pius XIII, speaking to you now.
>Brothers and sisters, I want to be perfectly clear with you.
>I have visited your country and I have seen dead bodies lying on the ground, hunger, blood, thirst, and poverty.
>All these things are the offspring of the war and violence that has clutched your land for twelve years now.
>I won't say the names of those who are guilty in this. There are too many of them.
>We are all guilty. We are all guilty of war and death. Always. In the same way, we can all be guilty of peace. Always.
>I ask this of you on bended knee. I am ready to die for you, if only you will become guilty of peace.
>I always say to the children who write me from all over the world: think about all the things you like. That is God.
>Children like all sorts of things, but none of them has ever written that what they like is war. Now look at whoever is next to you.
>Look at them with eyes of joy and remember what St. Augustine said: "If you want to see God, you have the means to do it. God is love."
>I, on the other hand, won't speak to you about God until there is peace.
>Because God is peace. And peace is God.
>Give me peace, and I'll give you God. You don't know how wonderful peace is.
>You have no idea how disconcerting peace can be. But I know. >Because I saw it when I was eight years old on the banks of a river in Colorado... peace.

the most overrated bullcrap ever

didnt read lol

>the most overrated bullcrap ever
its rarely ever mentioned, retard

He delivers this heartrending, emotional speech about compassion and peace and then fucking SMITES that corrupt bitch.

Love this show like you wouldn't believe.

I think The New Pope is the only show i've been memed out of watching. I was so hyped since TYP was probably one of my favorite shows of all time, and when the first couple of episodes dropped I saw nothing but people trashing the new season. shortly afterwards the discussion around the show kind of died off and it just killed all of my interest. think this thread is going to get me to watch it though, Sorrentinos direction is just too good even if the show itself might be a letdown.

>Sorrentinos direction is just too good even if the show itself might be a letdown
If you feel that way then I'm sure you'll get something out of watching TNP. It's definitely a step down but there are some great moments, especially in the last four episodes or so.

But who and why stole the statue?

I hope you'll enjoy TNP this time. TYP was way better, but I still enjoyed it myself. S2E7 remains kino whatever anyone says.
Hated the Esther stuff though.

this was the most beautiful speech of the entire series

Based. The happy nuns were so nice. Reminder to all friends to NOT watch season two "The New Pope."

NO.

Kino.

For me it was Sanna Marin dancing at the end credits

For me, it was cardinal Assente dancing

FINALLY a fucking Young Pope thread. this show should be discussed much more.

No, but as says i don't think it was meant to be. it's even reflected in the characters
>Pius is strong, sometimes brutal, unbending and pure, without sin.
>after him comes Francis who is a weak powertripping fag
>John Paul is fragile, gentle and introspected

>not the Venice speech
the last speech proves the existence of god and it can unironically mend the rift between atheists and theists

Based post, is the New Pope any good?

Attached: 89964721331.png (477x528, 258.17K)

it isnt AS good but the acting and directing still makes it kino
especially the Lenny waking up/pope cult subplot

the start of the first episode seems pretty cuck'd. does it get better??

>is the New Pope any good?
It isn't. Honestly, don't even bother watching it

This show was so god damned good. Never got around to The New Pope. I cant imagine it tops the first series.

What are some shows or movies like the first season?

Post yfw he slung the baby across the room

cuckpope gets natural cause'd by glowies, the rest is Malkovich and Voiello kino

anone else thing that Hernandez looks like Voiello

Attached: voiello.jpg (1400x772, 160.61K)

> WE HAVE FORGOTTEN DOUBLES

God how I thirst for a Pius XIII to sit on Peter's throne....

Why The New Pope filters so many people? the majority of them are poltards btw, Brannox was a beautiful character

What us the point of the series? It looked like.its only purspose was to make curious scenes, without a central plan.
Why does tv like it? Is it because he shat on homossexuals?

blessed thread, full of grace

What hapoendd to tonino petola?

Brannox is a direct and complete opposite to Lenny in almost every single way

Happy upcoming Easter.

the priest with the eye patch was the dark side of the church, isn't it?
he was as powerful as vioello

was voiello evil or was he just Lawful Evil ultra pragmatist who did what was necessary?

Thanks man, Ill check it out

This was just taken out of starplus.library

Your garbage show, for starters.

and that is supposed to be bad...?

The question isn’t what have we forgotten, but what have I gotten?
