Ridgeway was an extremely conflicted person. He was highly religious but at the same time he was low IQ and had a very high sexual drive and low impulse control. He hated prostitutes on an intellectual, superego level, because adultery and fornication is sinful, but he was also extremely attracted to them at a base level.
