Post a director or actor and other anons decide what their best movie or show is
ITT
lost highway
Twin peaks (s3 and 1)
Mulholland drive
I'm so upset that David Lynch is going to die within the next six months. I'm losing it. I hope he somehow makes atleast one more thing.
Eraserhead
Godfather 2
The Irishman
King of Comedy
Birth of a Nation
The Straight Story
Orphans of the Storm
The Deer Hunter
>Trying too hard not to say Taxi Driver, Mean Streets, or Raging Bull
Do you actually believe this?
The Tenant
100%. Godfather 2 I believe goes without saying. The Irishman closes the cycle of mob movies and it's both hilarious and blunt, and KoC is a beautifully photographed, subtle comedy and it's DeNiro's best, most nuanced acting.
If I were to add a fourth it'd be Cape Fear
Adding another one to my list: Once Upon a Time in America. These are his 5 best movies
>Cape Fear
Oh you’re trolling, I get it now.
Not at all: 5 excellent movies and DeNiro's best. Goodfellas, Casino and Awakenings next. I don't much care for his le gritty big city character movies.
>le gritty big city character
It sucks that this is all you got from those three films.
I bounce back and forth between Inland Empire, Lost Highway, and Mulholland Drive.
Taxi Driver is far away his best movie and performance
It's neither.
Probably Mullholland drive but for me, it's Blue Velvet.
Mulholland Drive is basically considered the top kino of the century so far
His best film is Chinatown

>The Irishman closes the cycle of mob movies and it's both hilarious and blunt
Jesus Christ, Godfather 3 accomplishes literally everything The Irishman tries to do with it's 3h running time using a single scene of old Michael dying alone on a some random estate in Italy.
