first thing I recall was how terrible the roads were and there was just like insane amounts of people dying in crashes compared to now (though people by and large drove like maniacs back then so that might have been a big factor) and 'road rage' seemed to be a huge thing too where people would just get out and start smashing other peoples cars over whatever minor incursion cause cars were shit ftmp anyway and most had all sorts of dents and scratches all over them anyway
