Season 1 was the only good season. The mystery was over, and they should've done an anthology series instead. Just watched the Season 4 trailer and it just looks like a dumb final showdown with le evil big bad of the series that no one cares about.

This show originally wasn't even supposed to exist past season 1. Now we're in the 4th season and it has 9 episodes, each over an hour long. How did they pull so much material out of their ass? The second season was a complete retread of the first one.

They took 7 years to make 4 seasons of a show where the VERY SPECIFIC premise was being about horror and kids in the 80s. They arrogantly took their time and now their cast looks like 50 years olds larping. It lost everything that made it appealing and charming. How could they have not seen this coming?

They should have shot the seasons as close together as possible to take advantage of the kids ages and, maybe, ended it with some finale that tool place on New Years Even 1989/90 to acknowledge the ending theme of the show. So many ways this could have been handled better. Instead it just feels dreadfully dragged out and devoid of any charm.
