Is this the first marvel show you have watched? It's called cape shit for a reason. They are always about x vs the big bad. You have action, the big bad, and a storyline. If you expected more then you already set yourself up for disappointment.

eclipse scene had a very awkward transition to the gods' meeting- just feels like it went by too fast to make any impact
oscar's acting was laughable during the meeting, but i guess i can chalk that up to marc being completely new to the whole khonshu overtaking his body bullshit
cgi is still disgusting as all hell, especially that scene with marc talking to khonshu on top of the cliff
sarcophagus fight was alright, some good action here and there but was made completely underwhelming because of steven's bullshit again
star mapping was a great spectacle, but thats the only thing it offers really
and, of course, the classic 'gods dont meddle in human affairs' asspull that completely conveniences future questions as to why the gods, despite witnessing whatever atrocities ammit's got planned firsthand, are unwilling to help out

5/10 episode which i suspect will only go downhill from here since marc doesnt have moon knight powers anymore

The gods and the rest of the avatars know who he is and Konshu is an outcast already. Then Konshu shows up with a new avatar who admits he is fucked up. Its no wonder they believed Harrow, especially when Konshu started fucking with the sky.

We should just go back to fist fights and blanks in guns, because I am tired of these shows where nothing happens because they are terrified of blowing their budget on 5 seconds of CGI.

The new Halo show suffers from this too (amongst other things lol), all these kinds of shows do.

I must just be old because I feel the CGI is fine, especially for something on a streaming service I've seen nothing jarring in the Hobbit movies or any awful horror films, not to mention how much better it is than garbage like Agents of SHIELD or Arrow which seemed to be enjoyed despite low budgets.

Why are marlel shows like this? The movies aren't masterpieces or anything but they usually succeed at being well-paced digestible action adventure flicks and getting normies hyped for the next one, while all their shows to date are boring slogs with blueballing ending

its just really weird that you can see the exact moments where the cgi bleeds into the scene and how it contrasts with everything else
like when moon knight spins around to deflect the bullets back at his assailants during the sarcophagus fight
his movement looks strangely animated and doesnt blend well with the backdrop
i get that they're on a streaming budget but we're talking about disney here, the mega corporation with billions of dollars stockpiled in some off-shore account somewhere
im sure they're not going to lose sleep over relegating a couple thousand more dollars to the vfx crew to make the cgi scenes look seamless and organic

Endgame is where they had a thin pretense of giving consequences to big events, but they are never really trying anyway, you could say for many of the movies, starting from Iron Man, why isn't the Arc Reactor used for everything, why isnt' the universal constructor used for, well so much shit that would make lots of things obsolete for sure. Also Wakanda, which is not isolated anymore.

At least since they showed the president they can't put in Trump or anyone else from real life, like how in Supergirl they got a super tolerant president and still got a mexican to do an offhand remark about a wall being built to keep them out.

I think one of the reasons LotR is so great is because of how well thought is, events that can be connected as a series of consequences to something else.
I still think the MCU did a great job going from Iron Man to Endgame with an overarching Thanos story, a slow boil that I think mostly paid off, but they still had to make such concessions that things like Civil War looks so damn silly.
