The Two Towers (Extended and Theatrical), both movie and book.
wtf what about return of the king nigga
true detective
Zack Snyder's DC Trilogy
Iron man 2 is great and I'm tired of pretending it's not
It's good but Helms Deep and the Ents rampaging Isengard I'm afraid is too kino for ROTK to take top spot.
Halo
Planet of the Apes reboots
Matrix
Mad Max
Honestly the best answer
3>2>1
Name it
Based.
captain america
winter soldier was kino
Dead Rising
Incorrect
Episode III is the best bar none, and then arguments can be made for Episode I or Episode II after
prequels are comfy when you watch at Christmas eating pasta

Scary Movie
never saw the third but I thought it was pretty received pretty negatively no?
Wrong
3 was pure garbage, and 1 was only detrimented by its awful ending. Otherwise it was a great revenge film, and one of the few that made you actually feel for the protagonist's loved ones and feel the same rage he felt when they died.
Road Warrior was better though.
could've been better but 2 was hard to beat.
literally dark knight rises to TDK
Two towers was boring fellowship was better
Nu persona
3 sucked, 2 was great, but the first one was completely original and had by far the best protagonist (that retard in 2 was the worst part of that game)
now tell me Yea Forums why is LotR so fucking comfy?
is it the music? cinematography? based practical effects?
Fellowship sucked, sorry you couldn't handle the NVRD horsechads.
It was ok, much better than the first though.
Never understand the hatred towards 3. Maybe it's one of those things that people misunderstand and as a result, filters a chunk of people.
Fellowship of the Rings was an RPG in film. It was kino.
The source material was excellent and it could translate well into a movie (though people thought it would not). Tolkien's nuts dragged the movies across the finish line basically.
Pusher, of course.
>mfw we will never have another LotR
>mfw its gonna be blackwashed all the fucking time from now on
>mfw kino genre is fucking over
it's been fun boys
nah
pusher is 1>3>2
Quite literally
Tbh, I don't even remember it. Played like 20 hours when it came out, got extremely bored and then never touched it again.
And I've spent probably 250+ hours between 1 and 2.
That's tough. 2 is legitimately amazing, and 3 is just silly, but God I love part 3 so much.
>YAAS LE HECKIN PARTY LIKE THE DWARVES FROM THE HOBBIT
>OMG LE HECKIN DRAGON GUY
>NOOO HECKIN GANDALF
It was the leftovers of The Hobbit with Smaug before Lord of the Rings really took it's own identity.
What exactly is superior about The Two Towers and Return of the King?
Every trilogy ever
might be the only correct answer so far
>Smeagol is introduced truly in Two Towers book and movie
>Get to know about The Rohirrim in Two Towers and have a kino battle in Helms Deep and Pelennor Fields
>The Story (both movie and book, especially book) become much tighter and tension builds
>Introduced to the realm of Gondor
I could go on. It really introduces you and draws you into the world with 2 & 3, movie and book. 1 takes a long time just to get the plot rolling. Hell I think it took well over 100 pages JUST to leave The Shire while it only took 2 or 4 pages to leave The Shire in The Hobbit, it was ridiculous.
it really just sounds like you have a hateboner for it when it does the same things you're praising the others for
A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET
>The Wizard in Orthanc is similar to The Necromancer in Dol Guldur
>Both parties go into Dwarf mines
>and end up encountering a dragon or dragon-like creature (Smaug from The Hobbit and The Balrog from FOTR)
You know I'm right. It didn't have an identity until Two Towers.
That would be 2>1>3
Planet of the Apes.
Fellowship>Return>Towers
Simple as
It was made by white people.
Evil Dead
SW OT
Awful awful take
Aside from Tolkien's work being top tier, the movies hit kind of a temporal jackpot.
It had a large budget given to a (more or less) nobody, to be filmed in a comfy corner of the world nobody knew about
It was also right in time to have good CGI, but also used excellent practical effects (makeup and costumes where on point).
It came right before the internet developed, so there was no obsession on politics and today's insane moral conformism
The music is just amazing and it's not just nostalgia either, anyone who saw the movie can remember some of the tunes.
Dunno what more to say man, it just hit the perfect time, good people, good actors. It just all went right just this once, it's unlikely to even happen again but it's fine since we have our comfy kinos already made.
Godfather
Toy Story
Gears of War
