Season 2 really shit the bed at the end though and season 3 was a return to form but something just felt off...I can't explain it when vompared to season 1. Season 1 though is kino in the highest order.

I found 2 to be quite dull while 3 was a blast personally.

For the ST cast being Child Actors appears to be working because A: They keep casting them for movies and shows instead of just cutting them off after a certain age, and B: The show acknowledges that they're getting older instead of pretending she didn't age at all.

I think the bigger issue is that it's been like 4 years since the last season and all the kids are now adults. Where cobra kai there is usually only a year between seasons and the kids will be able to maintain their looks for a few more years. But yeah they don't need to drag it on much longer, hopefully season 6 will be the end

While the 60s was indeed the peak the 80s was the second peak after warming of relations with detente in the 70s. Ronald Reagan in particular got elected on his tougher stance against the USSR, his 'evil empire' and 'ash heap of history' speeches were rhetoric that would have never flown in the 70s or even the 60s (see how Barry Goldwater lost in 1964). Reagan actually toned down his rhetoric later in his career because it was making the Soviets really nervous, but the 1980s definitely was a time of heightened tensions.

I`ll watch it because i dig the upside down look but mostly i think they keep dragging a story that should have ended on the first season. It has grown too big for it`s own good and there is no plausible way the main cast could handle a whole alien invasion; they are going to need to gather all the numbers and make a proper war or something and that`s going to be shit for the simple reason that it goes against the show`s original premise. They took the wrong route if you ask me. This show should have been either a limited series or have a different cast with a different story line every season like the "are you afraid of the dark" reboot.

I enjoy it too, though I think season 3 made up for season 2 as well as ended it perfectly. Shame it churns out too much money for the producers end it respectfully.

Really? I thought had really good highs but some pretty bad lows, but season 3 just felt flat. Hopper and Winona Ryder just spent the whole seasons yelling at each other, the kids drama wasn't very compelling, and the giant cat food monster was pretty meh

Season 2 was just s1 because fans were hungry for more of the same.
