I know a lot of people think that RTD is going to make DW great again via retcon of the 13th, but this can't happen because there will be a backlash that will make things worse for the show.

These long delays and total shit show of Chibnalls run has so many questions that just don't seem to have any way of a satisfactory resolution. It's like waiting for your beloved pet to die a slow agonizing death. The 60th anniversary will just be a greatest hits episode, and I can't see it lasting another year after that.

It's true that Chib is leaving the show in a very bad position. RTD's best bet is probably to just never mention any of his shit again and get on with making a good show. I'm not saying that it'll be enough to save NuWho.

I'm well into series 2 but why is Girl in the Fireplace part of these episodes? These episodes are clearly meant to be part of the 'muh Rose Tylah' story but Tennant is having a miniromance with a royal slut from France. Do TLs just not know the concept of exclusivity?

It seems like RTD let Moffat do his own thing most of the time. Only the Empty Child/Doctor Dances really fits in with the storyline of the the series it's in.

11 and 12 are both shit on first watch and much better on rewatch. Moffat's obsessed with his substitutions and twists being such a harsh rebuttal of the viewer's initial expectations, and it makes nearly impossible to see/like what he's trying to do on first watch. Considering it from a higher vantage point of knowing how it all works out vindicates a lot of his era because you're no longer caught up in the trickery.
