I've found it pretty iffy but never tied making it myself.

Same, one of my favorite dishes. I rarely find one in a restaurant that I like though, I think it's because making lasagna for one is a bad idea in general. The best lasagna I ever ate was in some random restaurant during lunch break when they made it on mass.

it's pretty overrated in my opinion. it tastes good, but even the best ingredients feel like a brick in your stomach afterwards. maybe i'm just not a big pasta person anymore
