based. cant think of a single movie with a greater expectation reality discrepancy with regards to kinoness

because she had a GREAT DAUGHTER

Because you've got SHIT TASTE

It had an amazing shootout scene but it was kinda corny as fuck beyond that

De Niro is good, Pacino is not

Remember when Pacino gets permission to go out and play and he flies down those stairs lol

this except the opposite

Kilmer was good, as always.

Funny how he gets the tiny and shit looking cover shot.

>DeNiro: always plays the same character
>Pacino: yells every line
>Val Kilmer: he is fine
>Tom Sizemore is fine

the two big shot actors are actually shit and the two lesser known actors from the robbery crew are actually better

This movie is pure Kino fuck anyone who disagrees

Typical move makers.

This

I only watch this for Waingro.

They’re both charismatic with zero range

Al Pacino was deep in a coke binge and it shows, overreacted a bit. The real issue is that Deniro has absolutely zero romantic chemistry with any of his costars, ever. The rest of the acting is on par or superior to the acting of the period, the dialogue probably suffers from being made at a certain time.

To add to this, the only time I saw Deniro have believable chemistry with an on screen partner was in Meet the Parents, and he's supposed to be a cold hardened glowie so it's a brush off.

Only miscast was Amy Brenneman

wouldnt mind "getting it on" with waingro between the sheets if you know what i mean? hot steamy gay fuck sex action.

>Waingro: steals the show

>YOU SAID I WAS BRINGING HEAT (1995) DIVX MUXED RECODED.AVI ON YOU?

I recently purged my entire kino collection and this and le samourai are the only ones i didnt delete
This is pure rewatchable kino

>You better bring your own ftp server, pal.

De Niro's best performance and im not even kidding.

Pacino on some bullshit half the time, his dumb wife, the pointless step daughter plot, the almost bust at the staked out heist... its a great movie but, a masterpiece it is not.

you don't know what this is

nigger

elbow

AL Pacino is the only weak link. He's so shit. But tom seiznmore is good as always same with Kilmer and the crew in general.

cut the family/woman drama and it becomes kino. the movie is about an hour too long

yeah there should be more explosions and maybe Spiderman shows up

>I thought these niggas were supposed to be good actors??
They never were. They've still been in some great movies though.

overrated movie

This. Love Micheal Mann, LOVE Miami Vice (show and the movie). Heat had a stacked cast, heard it was badass.....nope. Fucking sucked. Except for the shootout obviously.

kys

nice strawman. I liked Thief, and Heat should have been paced the same way

>a movie with an ensemble cast should have been paced the same as a one-man show

What I hated about this movie is that every character was given motivations, a background, and a reason to care for them. I think if you turn everyone except Deniro and Pacino into ancillary characters, and cut the movie down to 80 minutes, then you'd have kino

Heat is pure kino. Anyone that thinks otherwise is simply filtered or a woman.

Spot on. So much time was wasted on so many characters. Too long of a movie with barely any payoff.

I'm amazed people like you exist. Fuck off.

This. I was so hyped to watch this masterpiece tv keeps raving about and turns out it's a subpar flick. Anons who like it, what the fuck is wrong with you?

We had to get it on

Lol

Heat AND Thief are both hot garbage. You'd think you watched the wrong movie if you read comments or reviews before watching either. Good movies to go to sleep tho ig

I don't know why people find it shit. I've seen people who absolutely act like that. It's old people, but I don't think it's over the top at all.

At least until the shootout scene starts and your eardrums get blown out.

lol

>muh 2 minutes action scene makes up for 3 hours of snoozefest
I guess they could've made a 15 minutes short instead and incorporated those scenes everyone creams themselves about.

people like you should be lobotomized and sterilized to prevent any further contamination of the gene pool

Only men can understand this movie.
basedboys and fags completely miss it.

This guy gets it.

>mfw Mann is writing a sequel novel based around Chris Shiherlis

Tell me 3 good things about Heat without mentioning any of the action scenes.

this is exactly why i like it

based

how bout you just skip right to the end and kill yourself instead.

>What I hated about this movie is that every character was given motivations, a background, and a reason to care for them
can i ask you to reread this sentance and then immediately kys for being an adhd capeshit zoomer

Al Pacino's character's utter insanity
The restaurant scene, always kino in a cat & mouse movie when the adversaries meet
And the action scenes, fuck you it's an action movie

>The real issue is that Deniro has absolutely zero romantic chemistry with any of his costars, ever.
young de niro had. plus in falling in love. But he usually doesn't because he has a bit of a rude look and style which doesn't match at all with hollywood actresses. Just looks weird.
But here it makes totally sense. He's a very distant guy who finds some comfort in a girl but he's still the same cold guy who don't want to get involved.

I accept your concession.

>I thought these niggas were supposed to be good actors??

They are.

...you're just a faggot-nigger with zero taste in film.

The pacing, the atmosphere, the characters, the length, the dialogue, the problems you see the characters get into, the slice of life feeling you get when watching these people live their lives, the cinematography of the city at night, Deniro's eye of the tiger sense of committing crimes. Is Heat supposed to be a bad movie? It feels like a novel made into a movie. It's not traditional at all, especially from 1995.

Can I ask you to bite harder on my obvious sarcasm

>Deniro's eye of the tiger sense of committing crimes
What does that mean?
I'm an ESL so maybe I'm missing something, but I only know eye of the tiger from Rocky
