I think I know the show they're talking about. It's called Hajimete no Otsukai, My First Errand. Great show and very sweet. It shows you what a nice, safe place Japan is. In Japan toddlers are sent on errands for milk or to drop a package off, and it's very cute and adults are always helpful. In America and other such third-world countries, if you let your ten-year-old walk to school alone, you'll get the police called on you for neglect because people genuinely fear that rapists are behind every corner.
