This show really fell off

it's a comedy, not a political drama, stop sniffing your own farts, glover.

I liked that the first ep of the third season shitted on leftist feminist lesbian couples

It’s literally just hood twin peaks stop getting LYNCHED
it hasn’t been a comedy ever

>it hasn’t been a comedy ever
retard. no seriously, fuck you.

Why do they have peaches in their mouth and not a bucket of KFC?

why a 3rd season and have half the episodes about literally whos? I'm not watching it for random white guy going through racist blackmail. I want to see paperboy and crew doing wacky nigger shit in Europe.

it's a comedy that THINKS it's political drama and high art

Georgia is famous for its peaches, and KFC is from kentucky

the show doesn't know what it wants to be. it has elements of too many different genres/ideas

To be fair they're probably out of ideas and need to meet the episode quota for FX after being on hiatus for 3 years.

Just really feels like they should just make a separate show into a twilight zone making fun of white liberals.

All the leads were busy filming other shit. I'm guessing we'll have a couple more of these weird episodes.

>lesbian couples
thanks for telling, now I'm not watching

the episode is based on the real event of a lesbian couple who drove their car off a cliff with their 6 adopted kids inside killing them all in a murder suicide

My dear fellow white people this movie is KINO

its been a while since I last saw it, but wasn't there a kind of strange magical/supernatural element to it with an old guy in the bus or is that just my imagination

Facts don’t care about your feelings tranny. Earn was living in a fucking storage unit in S1. It’s been downbeat the entire time. You only thought it was a comedy because it had absurd moments but that’s just you being a pleb who doesn’t watch anything more challenging than Young Sheldon.

there's some surrealism, yes.

eat my ass dude. the show was advertised as a comedy and your shit opinion won't change the shortcomings of season 3.

These unrelated episodes are cowardly shit. Straying from the format was sparsely done on previous seasons and always resulted in good episodes. Meanwhile, this and the season opener feel like stories sneaked into Atlanta because the writers were too cowardly to make the racial spin off from The Twilght Zone they clearly crave so desperately.
Also, the forty minutes run time sucks ass. It always weakens the narrative and results in padding, which in turn becomes tiresome.

I figured you guys would be all on top of last night's episode

Is this actually a good show or are people just hyping it up like Black Panther?

I warned you

The first episode deserves an Emmy or golden globe or something. Turns out it was based on a true story.

First two seasons are great. Season three seems kind of a mixed bag for now.

If any of these scenes interested you, give it a try.

For me, it’s episode 4
Stay seething whiteys

Why are ALL Black™ movies/tv just grievance cinema and oppression porn?

When Hollywood struggles it enters a blaxploitation phase. In the 70’s the silver screen couldn’t compete with color tv, so they targeted a black niche. Network TV did that in the 90’s to compete with cable. Now that streaming is eating their lunch, they want to leverage white guilt to attract an audience.
They even made fun of white guilt . last episode. youtu.be/bamJ_vxlcOs

White fingers typed this post

I have not watched Atlanta in years but the invisible car joke justifies the show's existence in my eyes

Kfc is from utah

If it isnt a comedy explain the invisible car NOW

>white people

Attached: 1640395461956.jpg (330x358, 28.58K)

>that jump cut to a black kid
>"I'm a 35 year old white man"
gets me every fucking time

Kek seething

I watched the first season and enjoyed it. I hate woke shit and I don't really remember much of it being present.
It actually lampoons a lot of SJW neolib retards, which I'm sure goes right over their heads

Every episode can't just be about their skin

i wish.

It is wild just how pretentious and up his own ass hes become. Long way from "Dont jerk off to this picture of a bowl of fruit" or "Bro Rape" or the "Niggerfaggot spelling bee"

Best episode of the season

I will never watch this show ever. If you held and gun to my head and forced me to watch it at gunpoint I would reach up and pull the trigger for you.

Do black americans really thing "paying for reparations" should be actually be a thing?

Duh whyte man needs ta pay. Whitey gots to pay. Whitey. Gots. To. Pay.

Bro it's clearly comedy. You have to legit be autistic if you don't get that.

Hopefully we can make that happen. Just give your address and a good time to meet up.

I dont know if thr lasted episode was mocking mutts or niggers desu

THE CHICKEN

Apparently this ep was written by a rando who had a deal with FX for other stuff. Idk it's easily the worst ep so far by a long shot, probably worst of the whole series.
First ep was random and different but in a good way while still having dark humor and dark atmosphere bordering on spookiness at times. Next two eps are pure comedy with our main cast in wacky situations using the formula that has worked so well in season 1 and 2.
Then you get ep 4 and it's like a different show.

>>best example of black perspective on white guilt since Patrice
>>comedy keeps it lighthearted while earnest

not my problem if it flew over your head user, its honesty is sometimes disagreeable with its actions but thats the point and the comedy overlaps in those instances to remind you its a conflicted perspective

Attached: (YOU).png (1920x1080, 1.67M)

clearly it was both.

the first episode of the new season has a pitiable lesbian couple make a jab at "bernie bros" and the third has a white hip-hip woke kid called socks that leads a false racism tirade , its not "woke", this board should like in general but its filled with contrarians that can't like anything for fear of being a normalfag

I cant be fucked to find the article but it was conceptualized like Twin Peaks for black people, then they told Glover
>>niggas don't watch twin peaks
so it became advertised as more comedic for a wider audience - thats the industry user

the only cope I could come up with is:
S1 - comedy
S2 - comedy leaning to drama
S3 - drama leaning to comedy
S4 - drama
either this or they don't know what the show should be, but it's impossible they don't have a clue after 6 years

The current season is the same as past seasons with a bit more of a lean into some racial issues. Like the guy attacking a dude in black face, being he can't tell it's not really a black guy.
The shift isn't really a shock given the political landscape in the last 4 years since the show aired. It's still well done and unique.

It's their show. They can do whatever they want. Even when it leads to failing ratings. The atlanta you wanted never existed. It's over dude.

it always had political tones you dum fuck

I just don't care for black people.

and the piano episode

>it's a comedy,
its never been a comedy.
At most some of the surrealism has been funny to witness, but the absurdity isn't a punchline. It just is what it is.

The reparation niggers that were going after the white dude were named Sheniqua and Jamal, the literal meme names for niggers. It was definitely was a jab at both but definitely leaning more on the white guilt part for woke tokens.

Compare the show to something like The Boondocks which did a better job balancing out the hits on both sides: showing examples of truth in the hubris or behavior that resemble how both races are like in reality.

>Whole show shits on black culture as much as racism
>Waagghhh BLACKS REEEE

That being said last season has been a mixed bag. It is not fully paperboi and co doing shit which I wanted to see but the episodes are still super well done so I want to see more.

That season 3 party episode was just a rehash of the Club so it has me worried a bit about the upcoming episodes.

Georgia peach you retard. Atlanta is in Georgia. I know you're a racist retard, but use that logic you love to claim you have.

>stops being in community because being funny is… LE BAD
>starts own comedy

I just watched every episode for the first time over the last 3 days, and I saw the most recent episode tonight. Kind of stupid, but honestly there were some funny bits that I saw as poking holes in the entire issue of reparations. He doesn't owe this woman shit, not even leftists who support reparation think it should come from individual people, they are petitioning the government for reparations. The bit about how he himself was from a family of slavery and the Jewish chick laughs at him because it was "too long ago" was funny because you can really apply the same logic to American slavery. There were many groups of people around the earth who were enslaved in 1865, and many who continue to be enslaved. And the black woman comes off as unlikeable and unhinged throughout the episode, showing up at his home and basically invading his privacy and scaring his daughter, then she shows up outside his place of business with a megaphone, even though he hasn't done shit to hurt her personally. She certainly doesn't come off as sympathetic.

But I don't think it's a sensible decision to start making entire episodes completely unrelated to the main characters just to make some weird political point that doesn't really even come off clearly

that's intentional so it's homosexual fans can claim it's :deep:. and black people don't watch it.

or he was just sick of dan harmon
