I want to use this thread to share a bunch of obscure or not so common horror movies that I've enjoyed over the years. I mainly watch old horror so you probably wont see anything after the 90's.

I liked pic rel
what's it about?
This is a very fun watch but I have to mention it has one of the most overdone and obnoxious endings you've come to hate in many movies.
another fun one directed by Robert Englund
underrated Tobe Hooper classic. I put it off for years because I thought it just some shitty killer gator movie but I was wrong and it's incredible with a great performance by Neville Brand. A young Robert Englund also appears in it.
All a dream?
Some great effects and animation in this. Good aesthetic too.
People always mention that mediocre anthology movie but this is some good shit right here
This one has become more common in recent years but is not often mentioned when talking about the better Tobe Hooper films.
cozy anthology hosted by Vincent Price
some gross-out Aussie trash
some very 90's low budget vampire goodness. I believe there are more head explosions in this than any movie ever.
Miguel Ferrer is great in this and the vampire looks awesome.
desert ants
I absolutely love the vampires design here. Of the ones mentioned here, this and Funhouse have some of my favorite monster looks in horror.
I don't like much Italian horror especially giallo but this is a fun and excellent slasher.
They fly planes like they are cars in that movie. Every time I watch it I wish I had a personal plane. I'd use that shit for the pettiest errands.
amazing what stuart gordon could do with absolutely no budget
Not horror. Also I re-watched this the other day.
Do any anons remember a horror flick that kept getting shilled in /hor/? Can't remember much about it other than it was from the late 90s and about a bunch of 20 somethings locked in a trap filled house. There was a scene where a woman gets gutted by sawblades coming out from the floor. I think it was somewhat artsy/pretentious too but I can't be too sure.
Not particularly very funny but some great full frontal nudity and is batshit crazy.
Cube?
the woman at the end's appearance combined with that creepy fucking voice is kino as fuck. reminded me of creepshow when the zombie ted danson and leslie nealson's wife show up.
Nah, it was a somewhat normal house outside of the security.
13 Ghosts
That was 2000s and they were trapped in a maze
Nevermind found it.
I love horror movies that are so cheesy they might as well be comedies
For me it's S. Craig Zahler's list of his favorite gory indie horror movies.
This one is good in that way. It’s so laughably bad it’s hilarious
Was gonna post this. Very enjoyable
Full Moon made some fun horror schlock.
He's due for another movie.
i seen Cannibal and it was boring as fuck. also really gay.
i love this is a "WTF am i watching?!?" kind of way
1/3
Speaking of which. Demonic Toys is way more fun than the original Puppet Master and I'll never understand why it took decades to make a proper sequel and even by then it was too late.
2/3
This is garbage
3/3
Plot twist: its a documentary about growing up as a Getty.
Yes, I too watch redlettermedia.
Sounds about right. Imagine not reading Fangoria and GoreZone in the 80s.
Anti-Abortion: The Horror Movie
OP here. Never watched any of their shit aside from one video which was recommended to me years ago. Turned it off halfway through because their personalities were obnoxious and they had shit takes. I'd watch Cinemassacre movie reviews before I watch those retards again
Thanks OP. Bump.
the plot itself isn't terribly exciting but holy shit the monster effects are shockingly amazing. I don't know how those Japs got Dick Smith for this. Also apparently the game in which the movie is based on would go on to influence Resident Evil.
You’re right but Puppet Master 2 is way better than the first
I said I wasn't going to share any nu-horror but I remembered that I watched this recently and thought it was very good. I can't really call it horror since it plays more like a coming of age romantic drama but it's still an excellent film. Only real gripe was the awful CGI which is usually why I avoid newer shit. The cats in that movie were bad but it didn't ruin my experience.
Posted this on some other thread but I will post it again just incase someone else might want this.
The best way i can describe Vermillion eyes a tripy horror movie that mixes sex and murder.
If you are interested in this I recommend downloading as finding any way of watching this movie is dam near impossible.
The best Romero flick no one ever talked about although it might have picked up some steam in recent years
This often gets compared to Psycho but I think it's better and also predates it.
