It's my favorite kind of jumpscare where it's completely out of nowhere without any buildup to wind up the tension.
You can tell when a shitty movie is building up a jumpscare and it just makes it feel like the movie fucking with you, here its legit a surprise.

The boy actor, I forgot his name, literally freaked out in between the scenes, because he was so scared by the demon. I thought how on earth can they do that to him. He's just a child. They tried to bring him close to the demon to show him that he does no harm. The kid was scared to the bone and in tears.
