its one of those things where you have to be in the right mood it was on my hard drive for maybe 6 months before i got around to watch it in full, i tried maybe 3 or 4 times to get into it but it was not working. then it all lined up somehow one matinee when i shatpost all nite long with the boyzzz online caught a few zz and was in the mood to watch something when i woke up. the marathonning is part of the process , the way i see it: its full of tropes and japanese stiffness associated with narration etc but the physicality of going tru it show glimpses of an auteur behind all those cultural cagey conventions.

Because I have a unique ability to separate the art from the artist, I will continue not giving a fuck and enjoying his movies
