The shoehorned plot threw this whole thing off for me as well. Some of the pranks were such gold I didn’t want to turn it off though.

This movie highlights how one trick ponies cant do the same song and dance for 20+ years without losing its heart along the way. Seeing people doing crazy stunts was fresh and new, there was not a unlimited bank of videos on the internet with people getting hurt. The jackass crew really did some of the craziest shit youve ever seen. Now that you can watch anything from fail videos to snuff porn at the click of a button, seeing a dude get a baseball thrown at his nuts isnt exactly the seat seller content it used to be. Plus bam isnt in it so who gives a fuck about this one.

I think the biggest part, for me it is anyway, is that it's completely clinically safe now compared to how wild they were. I get it, they're like 50 fucking years old and whatever I don't blame them but if they can't do it they can't do it. When they were 19 years old fucking around in some drainage ditch did they have 6 ambulances standing by right off screen? Of course not. But now they do. It's just too set up now.

It wasn’t very good. The new guys all sucked aside from poopies and maybe that fat guy, but even then they would be by far the worst jaskasses if this was 10-20 years ago. And the shit the old guys did was just so simple, basic, and lame. Feels like they just phoned it in for their last hurrah, at least Johnny went out on top with the bull. All in all it was a bad movie, it was fun to see them all again and I guess im glad they made it, I just wish they made it 10 years ago rather than keep saying there’d be more movie and they wait until everyone is too old. Yea of course when you get old you need to be more careful, but they should of stepped it up in other areas, like clever pranks. The whole sell of jackass is intense stunts and pranks. If you have less intense stunts, you really really need to balance it. Bringing in new people is a huge fail, they just want to set up minions to carry the franchise so they can collect royalties. They could of ended on a high note, but jackass is quickly becoming another dead horse to beat. I rather watch a compilation of impractical jokers than another jackass movie like this.
