Think we'll have confirmation on a new show soon? Rumor mill says the meetings taking place this week should be to determine the path forward but Amazon could go either way apparently. (Either way being with the old writers Wright/Mallozzi, or they could pass and wait to hear other pitches.)

I watch Universe for she

I don't feel like any continuation of Stargate would work. Too much fancy tech accumulated.
I'd have another Atlantis/Universe-like setup, but I don't think it would work for general public and executives.
Or maybe they'd remake Stargate Infinity premise, that'd be cool.

Jonas > Daniel

Attached: jonas.jpg (640x360, 24.15K)

Truth. Fuck Danielshitters.

I see Pluto's added a dedicated SG-1 channel.

i don't want more stargate, i am content with season 1-8 and think the ending of 8 is a perfect finale.
however. i'd love some modern day schizo kino about anons trying to investigate and uncover the stargate program and seeing steps of how the military works to do counter intel, obfuscate and psy-op to control the narrative. like a dual running arc of on world/off world.
maybe there are people who are off world and trying to sow info into the general public about the program to distabilize sgc.
but then also throw in some of my niggers from pic real every now and then as they "chase" down leads of off world activities and stumble upon aliens/different civs.
anyway that's my pitch, thank you all for you time. please help yourselves to the catering

My ideal spin-off would be about characters getting stranded in yet another galaxy, in a yet another mishap, with never establishing supply line from Earth, without having a fancy Ancient base (They would live in tents or something) but being professional about it and not going full SGU.

battlestar galatica, IN TENTS!
also sounds like: imdb.com/title/tt1697793/
or terra nova

Stargate bros..

Oh god, I remember Outcasts. I don't think I watched past the first episode.

There would still be regular visits to other planets in that galaxy and meeting aliens in traditional Stargate style. But lack of easy supplies and home base would add new dimension to the conflict. Like "Can we really walk away from the planet where natives do dumb shit or do we need them?" - in SG-1 they'd just walk away without thinking.

are you the gate user who keeps bringing up the point that sg1 walked away from the cloners because they gave teal'c the stink eye?
but i agree some survival exploration stargate kino would be awesome

No, I'm not the one bringing it up. But it's an example of moral dilemma that could be spiced up into a better plot.

Needs full disclosure as the secrecy aspect is just ridiculous now. Doesn't need another galaxy as the milky way is fucking massive.

A sg show set on an alien world with alien main characters could be an interesting choice too. Yeah they'd probably still go for the human look because of ancient descendants and all, but still. Make it so the earth is never mentioned, could happen before the stargate is discovered on earth, and it could deal with the goa'ulds in a different way idk

so... the tokra resistance...

I finished watching Stargate aside from the animated series.
I am now halfway through the second season of Farscape

Why was she written as a sizequeen in both Farscape and Stargate?

Attached: file.png (1440x1080, 1014.85K)

There 3 tranny trek and 0 stargate shows.

inspiring and morale boosting, the best officer traits

Just started watching Farscape. I like the little puppet dude.

I never really got into Stargate, but I used to watch episodes with my dad before school.
My favourite character was this guy. I loved the episode when he blew up a solar system and that other one where all the scientists back on Earth think he's a hack.
What do you guys think about him? Did you find him annoying?

Mallozi was posting about a Pilot script for a new show on the Stargate subreddit

How does one find a man like Jonas?

what is this pic from?

Poor dude survives nine seasons and even (sort of)sticks up for the US during the international disclosure only to die going down with his ship while Daniel is slinking off to save his own skin. To be Russian is to suffer in Stargate.

>he's never experienced true desert kino
youtu.be/AUtZOl_QxvY

>Did you find him annoying?
Yes, very annoying but he has moments of basedness. On one hand he was reddit incarnate but also espoused common myths that even reddit knows is bunk and it can be hard to watch. On the other hand, he could stand his ground pretty well when he's completely in the right and whoever else should have just stfu. The episode when he gets trapped in a Genii mine with Carter and Dr. Keller was among his worst though.

>Tits and we GTFO
I liked it

that episode where he's trapped in a 3D death trap labyrinth with ezra dax was kino

I actually love desert kino. El Topo is one of my favorites, and Simon of the Desert is good too. Should I watch the trailer for this or just watch it?

>The episode when he gets trapped in a sinking puddlejumper
The man carried Atlantis so hard from season 2 onwards

you should watch it
it's only a buck 30 long

Gimme Farscape but set in Stargate. Bunch of Prisoners take over a ship, maybe Lucien Alliance or something, instead of having a Crichton character have it be like a SGC Field Scientist or something who got captured and then have this crew try to get home but there stuck in Lucian Alliance or Insert Bad Guys here Territory and have to run to survive. Have it end with them learning about threat to earth and they come and help save the day with cameos from Old series. Earth offers to work with them as allies and in future seasons they get missions and shit via Jack ONeill at Homeworld Command or something along those lines

>leadership

>tfw ywn have 20 episode long seasons with mostly planet of the week episodes and few season arc episodes
>tfw all new shows are basically 10 episodes and serialized
>tfw you will have to subscribe to some shitty streaming service just to watch a hypothetical star gate reboot which will probably suck shit

Universe has a rough start, but it doesn't deserve the bad rap it gets.

There's kino to be found.

there's literally a kino dispenser on destiny

I wouldn't mind a new approach
maybe do a diplomatic show with IOA diplomats meeting governments across the galaxy

Attached: tumblr_inline_p91fxetpD31qi5hlo_1280.jpg (663x375, 56.52K)

moderately sized SG expedition team gets stranded on the opposite side of the galaxy (early period, no starships, asgard allies, etc.) far from system lords, but still with plenty of minor goaulds to fight and mysteries to solve

They can't keep getting away with it

Attached: file.png (1433x1082, 952.87K)

It did, It does, but it does recover somewhat 1/3rd of the way through the second season

This episode reminded me too much of The Lumeris from Endless Space 2 but it might've just been because I was playing it at the time

Rygel? He's great. One of the best characters throughout the show's run

it started a bit slow almost felt like they weren't even sure what the premise of the destiny mission was when they started it. the real problem was them doing that fucking soap opera via the communication stones for so long. that was a fucking terrible idea and i think would have permanently turned off a lot of viewers who never came back. real shame, i would have loved another 3-5 seasons of lieutenant booba kino.

Breast enjoyment isn't the sole purpose of sci-fi

Attached: file.png (853x480, 453.44K)

I just thought it was weird that they gave a character whose main personality trait was hitting on Carter his own spinoff.
It's like giving a spinoff to martouf or that other guy

Best character on tv

that is true, however if your scifi has zero (0) breast enjoyment in it i will not be watching it and will consider you a total fag for wasting your time on it.
