Yes

kill fuck marry

If you've only read a couple of books written by brits and Americans, it's only natural for you to carry that opinion.
The cure? Read more.

AHHHHAAHHH absolutely not.

>not killing that ugly ghoul in the middle

They have a stronger literary culture whereas we have a stronger visual one (tv/film). Also, imagine having all 3 at the same time.

I prefer the braided hair of the lady on the left, also the flower on the head of the one in the middle could be covering a tumor or some other kind of deformation.

what does culture have to do with it?
how does it make sense that a lack of historical tradition is what holds an american writer back when he's trying to write good prose?

British literature from older times was great, but Americans BTFO modern British writers. I just read this the other day:

The daughter of a British Nobel laureate wrote her own book, which has been well recieved, and the best authors she cites are the ones she had to read in university, the Americans Donald Barthelme and George Saunders. Her biggest British influence is fucking Russel T. Davies. I thought American literature was in decline before, but at least we aren't that cucked.
