I didn't know you could post blank text box.
The truly sad thing is seeing people think postmodernism is something being pushed on us instead of a description of life under capitalism.
Isnt postmodernism a self destructive thing since it will always be modernist?
It clearly isn't life under capitalist you fucking mongoloid.
Kill yourself.
can someone define postmodernism for me? as far as i can tell it has a lot to do with rejecting old paradigms that we take as moral anchor points in favor of a kind of relativity. is this at all close to correct? because if so
doesn't apply to me, since my life seems to be defined by virtues i believe in and how well i succeed in maintaining them. i see them as irrefutable constants. does postmodernism/this anons theory say that im wrong, and im actually defined by the constraints of the capitalist system? im lost by how you can assert an absolute and maintain postmodernism is a concrete effect of a system on existence.
where am i confused here?
How can postmodernism be "right" or "wrong"?

>postmodernism
Meme term with a meme definition. There is not such thing as "post-modernism", this is late modernity and we are paying for Kant's fuck ups.
This is true in the sense of the original development of the term. Or rather it is the aftermath of a failed modernist agenda. Lyotard, who was among the first to use the term used it to mean the disruption of teleological narratives of history such as Enlightenment progressivism , marxism or fascism because the rise of media technologies that interfered with these grand narratives or their collapse into disaster. Grand narratives have become splintered and there are no longer all encompassing missions for the human race as articulated by them. Instead only the commercial and consumerist values of capitalism, and the disorienting blitz of disconnected and dissociated images and hyperreal artifacts its spins out.
