Sherlock Holmes

Which story specifically?
I know it's the obivious one but Hounds Of Baskerville is my favorite

A fairly dry government issued biography of Batthány Lajos. After that it just clicked and I started getting more and more titles I was interested in, I read fairly often on regular weeks but I certainly have a struggle with compulsive buying.

1984

The hobbit, which makes me infinitely cooler than you OP

I remember repeatedly reading a book in the 4th grade titled "Trapped!" where I was introduced to the concept of liquor. I think it was a murder mystery book taking place in a fancy party where people ate caviar.

I can't seem to find it anywhere.

The hobbit when I was young, and the count of Monte cristo when I was a teenager and had fallen out of the habit

The Bible and Notes from the underground

The how to train your dragon series

A Study in Scarlet, The Sign of the Four, then the short stories, and then Baskerville.

Remembering it now, I think my favorite story is the one where the guy leaves the room and tries to hang himself.

Redwall. Also made me mighty hungry.

I read quite a lot between the age 10-15, then appeared video games, cellphones and i stoped it, just ocasionally reading what was needed in school.

Animorphs, we had the first, the third, the 26th, and megamorphs 2. Also we had around 10 assorted goosebumps and give yourself goosebumps. But the book that made me actively search out new fiction was Percy Jackson, and the one that convinced me I could write was Atherton

Still one of my favorite series to reread.

Two based series.

For me, it was probably Harry Potter, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, or maybe even Bridge To Terabithia.

The Chocolate War by Robert Cormier
