Why do penguin covers have such beautiful fronts but such shit spines
Already discord thus spike Zarathustra, it takes previous knowledge of philosophy to understand it. Its not the most complicated but its not an easy book either.
Odd selection. TSZ and After Virtue are my favorite of the bunch. You can decide between the two.
After Virtue
The Interior Castle easily.
2, 4, 5, 7
Assuming you've read Nietzsche's preceding books, go for Zarathustra.
entertaining read regardless, i'd go for it out of the bunch
Stirner
I’m entirely unfamiliar with Interior Castle, so pick that one.
user, I hate to break it to you but you really messed up with getting that translation of Stirner. The one to look for is The Unique and its Property
I feel like the newest Penguins have a little too much going on, especially on the spine. Peak Penguin were the 60s era ones with the completely black spine, so comfy. I like how the artwork on these often takes up the whole front cover, with just some subtle text. The 80s ones are quite nice too.
Leviathan is just commonwealth being dogmatic, so i would pass it.
Nietzsche is too cryptic for me, so is a pass too.
Intro to Cristianity sounds cool but im a catholic so i think already know all that stuff so is a pass
The nature of prejudice sounds like racial shit, so is a pass for me.
Interior castle looks like something spiritual, so a pass
Anarchy etc sounds cool, i dont know anything about it tho.
After Virtue, dont know anything about it. But sounds boring
Stirner is just meme so i would pick it up just for fun.
I would pick Stirner so i could argue about it in Yea Forums threads.
Anarchy State and Utopia is a wonderful read. Nozick is genuinely hilarious, it is a solid read and he fucking destroys Rawls
>im a catholic so i think already know all that stuff so is a pass
>Interior castle looks like something spiritual, so a pass
Stirner, easy
thanks for the replies but they’re making me read anarchy, state, and utopia after all
Stirner. Don't be a faggot.
>im a catholic so i think already know all that stuff so is a pass
Never heard of Teresa of Avila wt?f
Zarathustra, absolutely 100% above all
And don't listen to anons that call it complicated, they're just bugmen with no soul and can't relate to the synthesis of greco-roman and faustian spirit, of yearning for both the Apollonian and the Dionysian in life. It might be more poetic, but it's actually one of his easier to understand works imo. The only thing is that a lot of the sentences contain virtually complete ideas in themselves, so you might have to stop after a lot of sentences and really chew on em and soak up what it's saying. And I'll even admit it doesn't have anywhere near as much of a complete 'logical' argument as a lot of those other books, but at the least it'll be one of the most enjoyable to read.
After Virtue. Easy.
>The one to look for is The Unique and its Property
After virtue is great. I really like his abalasys of systems and his mode of thinking.
Hobbes so good
1 and 6 look like faggotry, the rests are great books, read in any order.
Stirner
thus spoke is the best in the pile BY FAR
Leviathan. At least if some smug liberal asks 'have you even read Locke?' you can retort 'have you even read Hobbes?'
Like a girl with big tits lmao
Read Stirner because everything else is written by spooks
made me chuckle
