Why is this book so fucking impossible to find in print? It's been out of print forever despite being fairly popular, and when you do find a used copy of it, people ask like $100-$300. Does someone not want us reading this? If so, why?

I found it at a bookshop for seven Australian dollars and bought it.
Bought this shit 8 years ago on the recommendation of a friend when it was in print before Mishima was an internet meme. It certainly seemed like rambling nonsense when I read it at the time. I've heard since that the translation is shit as well. Mine is still in perfect condition I wonder if I could actually get $100 for it.
Is this one worth that kind on money too?
>It certainly seemed like rambling nonsense when I read it at the time.
It seemed like that at first to me when I didn't have a proper frame of reference to understand his ideas. It's just very abstract -- that and his obsession with death is confusing and alienating to non suicidal normies.
It's way cheaper in spanish.
If I have the money would it be retarded to buy one for 100 bucks?
>8,000 bucks
No way hosay.
You'd be better of buying the complete works of Aristotle.
Those are yens, not USD. That's less than 80 USD.
It would be far cheaper to find an ebook and print it out yourself.
lel, would have been a good cover if they skipped photoshopped Mishima
Where are you from, OP?
That's not photoshopped, fren. His body was a temple
It's fun to compare this with Murakami's book on running. Where Mishima is obscure, Murakami is clear. Where Mishima is grandiose, Murakami is humble. Where Mishima is death-driven, Murakami is life-affirming. Where Mishima mythologizes his strength, Murakami writes about his failures and insecurities. Where Mishima paints himself as the superior individual, Murakami points out his averageness.
exactly, murakami virgin, mishima = chad
