deadlift is somewhere around 2 plates i think
bench is 90kg
dont read poetry
philosophers
1: diogenes (his life was profound than anything that fat fuck plato ever shit out)
2: seneca (simply epic)
3: machiavelli (no bullshit explanation of REALpoliti(k)cs that is probably still relevant today)

>Squat/Bench/Deadlift
I'm a bodybuilder, not a weight lifter. I have no idea what my one rep for those is.

>Top 3 novels
War and Peace, Brothers Karamazov and Dracula.

>Top 3 poets
Dunno, lol. I don't read poetry.

who

I lost a bunch of weight through fasting. I hate cardio but I enjoy taking long (3+ hour) walks in nature.

I need to start lifting to fill out my frame. However, I feel very anxious about going to a gym to do it. I feel like I will be judged. I wish I could buy a squat rack and weight set but I don't have money or space for that. Anyone else experience this anxiety and get over it?

shut the fuck up before i crush that fucking bowling ball you got for a head you fucking cocksucker

Went to the gym for the first time last week. People are trying to talk me out of compound lifts for now and recommending machines instead. Not sure how I feel about that desu
The Decline Of The West, Suttree, Siege (its a great meme book, don't let dumbasses convince you otherwise)
I only like Goethe and even him mostly for his plays
Spengler, Hobbes, Heidegger

Still on a linear progression, so all of the lifts are 5x5 maxes, not 1 rep.
>190lbs/140/235/
>Metro 2034, Sword of the Lictor, Dune probably. I don't read as much fiction as I'd like.
>Blake, Novalis, Shelley
>Moldbug, Foucault, Deleuze (lol)

Unless you know French and Japanese you should kill yourself for reading the butcheries of those translations.

Get a kettlebell and read Simple and Sinister.

What people and how much they bench? If it's under 120kg don't take any advice from them ever. Compounds are gonna get you strong, machines are ok for isolation at the end of the workout but you should always prioritize compounds.

Maybe I like the story and am not a gay nerd like you obsessing over translations. Post body.

Who doesn't know French and Japanese on the literary forum of the foremost English translation of 2chan?

With that DL and bench I doubt you could crush a ping pong ball.

That's what I've been reading too. But it's a shitty small town gym with little free weights and I don't want to stroll over there on my second week and tell them "nah some dudes on the internet told me you're dumb and wrong, now let me use the weights".
Probably what I will end up doing though.

>I like the story
How can you understand the emotions and thoughts of a character if you aren't even reading the book in the language it was written?

I don't exercise Orange President Man says it drains your life force.

Just tell those dyels to fuck off and you'll be stronger than every one of them in a year.

What are the must read books on lifting?

*injects steroids*
what now fagget

How do you reconcile Moldbug and the frenchie pomos? Im curious

Powerlifting is for faggots. Look at how many strong guys don’t even look like they lift. It’s time to grow up and start bodybuilding so your muscles actually grow. This means having actual volume in your workout. It’s much harder, which is why the rewards are better (you’re welcome)

Bodyweight: 90 kg, age 30 (should be added imo)

> 100 8x4. 80 6x4, 130 3x8

based italian

you bench more than you deadlift?

2 plates is greater than or equal to 100kg and 90 is a lower number than 100 user

>Squat/Bench/Deadlift
100kg/80kg/I don't deadlift.
>Top 3 novels
Count of Monte Cristo, The Hobbit, I'll cheat and say The Complete Chronicles of Conan, because I like Howard and Conan far too much.
>Top 3 poets
Rumi, Jim Carroll, Omar Khayyam

Diogenes, Aristotle, Dogen

2 plates is 80kg

the bar is 20kg you dip

if you actually benched 2pl8 you would know better than to count the bar

what are you talking about everyone counts the bar

if you ever had a conversation with another person you'd know that it is custom to include the bar weight

Just go when no one is at the gym. Most people go at peak time, if you go early morning or late at night you will see barely anyone. I go early morning and see like 5 people at most.

lol u tk him 2da bar?

i lold

So long as you refrain from reading Pomo as moral/ethical philosophy, it provides useful tools and frameworks. Also, it's not entirely unheard of to read Foucault at least as a crypto-reactionary.
