Peterson is just the secular version of a Sunday school teacher or a youth pastor. Are his suggestions for life wrong? No, they're all entirely correct. It's just that all this should be obvious. A grown man doesn't need to be told to make his bed or make something of himself, he just does it. Peterson basically targets individuals operating on a teenage level. For teenagers it's great, but there are lots of manchildren nowadays who are mental teenagers well into their twenties and beyond, and it's this sad audience that taints Peterson's image.
