Site/databse is good. Community is awful, probably the worst of the sites like this for different media.

I use it to keep track of books I've read and my general impressions of them. Rating a book is difficult enough, but out of five stars pretty much impossible.

You just need to wrangle yourself a posse of Yea Forums autists on goodreads and you can get great recs

Goodreads is a spectacular website if itonly got rid of star ratings and ratings in general.

>keeping it on an online database that you have no control over
I hope you have a back-up plan.

I just use it to keep track of what I've read

Only update it once you've finished a book and never post when you have started one so you only get the dopamine rush once the book is actually complete

Yeah, I started using another site because of that. But I like the concept.

Welll what site is it user goddamn

People add 15 books a day to their to read pile and don't finish more than a book a week really crans my berries

are you me??

Great database like first poster said.
But I prefer to go to plebbit to find takes on books that make me angry

How do you make friends on that site? Every day I see on there is awful.

There's this one site for movies, forgot its name, it's way worse. I much prefer the vapid normies of goodreads to the pseudointellectual pretentious cunts that are 'film connoisseurs'

yes, please tell

letterboxd?

Yes, that's the one.

Book in question: Tender is the night

It's a french site. My french is bad but it's easy to use. The community is slightly less retarded.

>i don't like arthouse cinema, therefore it's pretentious
it's okay, you don't have to like it, not everything is for everyone

t. assblasted snob

criticizing pretentious pseud redditors =/= criticizing arthouse film
