>Benjamin
Isnt he a cultural marxist?

That retarded label won't help you much in either reading and thinking. Benjamin is a based aesthetic and political thinker who draws influence from Nietzsche, mysticism and Communism alike.

No such thing. He's based though.

The Gate by Soseki. Max comfy.

br?

retard

If you like Montaigne, Cioran, and Bernhard you should read Pascal

>Perec
>comfy
Hell no, mechanical writing. Try Queneau desu, Bove, Bousquet, Hardellet, Crevel, Noël.

Too rarely mentioned here

Theodor Fontane

Bump

Read more Benjamin. Please there aren't enough of us.
But anyway in that case you'll really like Franz Hessel, Siegfried Kracauer, Gershom Scholem, and Franz Rosenwig.

You'll also really enjoy Stefan Zweig, Ford Maddox Ford, Arthur Schnitzler. Very comfy.

Are you for real ?

Calvino
Javier Marias
Mathias Enard

That apu image is so comfy

>Mathias enard
Nice. He needs more love

Musil

Redpill me on Musil

>Cioran
>Comfy
What?

Is he comfy though ? Reading him in french is as uncomfy as reading Butor or something.

How is he comfy

Rather austere at point, even... couple jokes aside maybe.

So this is what Peterson does while he "cares for his wife".

well shit if you think Pessoa and Bernhard are comfy then Musil, of a higher intellect, is even comfier.
analytic way to mysticism

Yeah. Everybody just reads Work of Art and maybe skims through Arcades and that's it. He's still one of the most popular thinkers among humanities academics, but isn't that deeply read by most others. The left in particular have all but forgotten him. Thank God NYRBC released the storyteller collection.

more Bernhard
Frisch's late works (Montauk etc.)
Joseph Roth's stories (Legend of the holy drinker, Leviathan)
Chekhov's stories
Schopenhauer

Thomas fuckin Mann

>Try Queneau desu, Bove, Bousquet, Hardellet, Crevel, Noël.
