It’s an entertaining read. Beyond the surface it’s not that deep but I enjoyed it.
If I was stuck in an airport with nothing to read I would pick up a Stephen King over most best selling trash. The man has a great mind for stories (which is why the films are often better than the book in his case).
Fight Club is utter trash, agreed. You are a moron if you think the same of 1984.
Pleb.

the only reason it got any attention despite being a lackluster farce with an infinite array of two dimensional cartoon characters was because the mother wouldn't stop moaning to the publisher over her dead son who killed himself faster than DFW did. He killed himself because he was painfully aware that he wrote a shit book and that was the best he could possibly muster.
I bet you don't even know that the shit book's ending was edited.
Logan Allen
Why haven't you burned it?
Ryan Hernandez

Brandon Barnes
I love you too, son.
Levi Gomez
How can you claim it's for "brainlets" unless you've read it yourself? World is not black and white user. While you might think your above the message of them, doesn't make the people that read them dumb. What a dumb argument, but its to be expected of Yea Forums unfortunately.

Slaughterhouse Five is the kind of book you love if you basically know nothing about literature but at the same time know that fantasy and YA is shit.
