Lord JIm.

Nostromo

Lord Jim

Exactly.

I agree with these.

how tf did he write English so well my dudes

The Spleen of Light

Watch Apocalypse Now redux

Guenons head shrunk.

...there's a redux?

is it worth reading or is it just >muh racism?

Definitely worth reading. Conrad's prose is excellent and he does a good job at conveying an intended emotion or mood.

I take it I should read it in english then, rather than a local translation?

A Bend in the River

yeah

Yes, the book itself is fundamentally about the inability of language to capture and explain experience, so by reading it in translation you're removing yourself even further from the message. Plus, the prose itself is incredibly rich, Conrad has a unique way of writing because English wasn't his first language.

I have read Heart of Darkness, Nigger of the Narcissus, Lord Jim, Nostromo, The Secret Agent, Under Western Eyes, Chance, The Nature of a Crime. Lord Jim is easily the best.

If by Lord Jim you meant Nostromo then I agree
