why does he talk like that? he's not english. he also dresses like a huge dork and he has some weird opinions about restaurants.

literally who? why do burger like to shill their local celebrities?

He lived in England for a long time as a kid.

that is because you are smart with good opinions thanks for posting

Those are sort of superficial complaints desu. But you're right about his accent though, since I'm pretty sure he's from the south.

Thank you Nathaniel :^)

Please, call me Nate.

Can we get a list going of important /left-reads/?

>Current affairs
>Jacobin
>The intercept
>Truthout

What else?

Truthdig, if you're a Chris Hedges fan.

Nah.

I mean he's right about stuff, it's just that his writing is unfocused and he often says weird/cringe-worthy stuff.

It's good having him on our side, but there's other people saying the same things he is and making better points about it.

His magazine's editing is appallingly sloppy. It wouldn't take a great deal of effort to tighten up the writing in its articles.

You're a socialist but your dad works in finance and pays for your loft in Brooklyn.

Close. I'm a socialist but my dad works in computer security and I also work in computer security and pay for my own apartment in Chicago.

You just know this guy likes getting pegged by black hookers

>pegged
Thanks for making me look that up.

I love “The Real News Network “. The founder and lead editor, Paul Jay, has amazing political instincts and isn’t afraid to act on them.

I thought C.A. Was based out of New Orleans.

This guy tried to be apart of some new non woke left shit, but eventually he caved to their ideas and has a bunch of feminists influencing his magazine. Trying to be some anti idpol leftist is not a serious position in this day and age and always concedes to the morality of the new left because they can't argue against its principles from a leftist position. That's why this guy lives a larp even in his outfits, because the only way his position is tenable is if time stood still in his 70's Britain fantasy world where Orthodox Marxists still existed.
Whenever you larp in the outfit of an earlier era it means you are spiritually dead and living on as a ghost from an earlier era. Like old conservatives that wear bow ties and and larp as wasps. Equally dead and ineffectual.

Oh. I think it is too.

I'm not actually Nathan Robinson.

Nice try, Nate.

I just can't stop seeing the COOMER in this image

I like how Hedges always incorporates belle lettres into his essays. It is a good models of using art to critique politics and culture.

If that means "good writing" his essays don't incorporate that.
