Part science, part philosophy, and beautifully written.

Carlo Rovelli's popular stuff is pretty good if you want to learn a bit about physics. Susskind has some hits and misses but is generally a-ok. If you want to get a conceptual understanding of String Theory - read Greene's trilogy.

The Joyous Science by Nietzsche

This is really really bad... if you want to know the foundation of mathematics I recommend Enderton's Elements of Set Theory. It actually follow some aspect of Principia Mathematica like cardinal after ordinal.
The reason why I don't recommend is because foundation of mathematical logic improved. Just the power of ZFC most of mathematician define some concept very easily. But this is not. This is ramified, type theory, with primitive attempt to axiomatize the concepts. Just the rambling consist of logic with so futile achievement... Also Some of the notion in logic is really hard to know, and more like unused - such as Sheffer Stroke and empty set as "∧".

When it has that gay message of "SCIENCE IS AWESOME!!! xdd"

So it's entirely about style of presentation?

is this the antiaccel bot? did they expand its parameters or do you think it's learning?

More like fpwp. Nobody reads this shit, not even the few analyticucks who still hold Russell in high regards.

Nice. Dehaene is seriously underrated.

It's about unreflexive validation. Science may be awesome, but for those who practice it it is equal measures confusing, disappointing, fascinating and frustrating. It also requires a lot of retarded work that is likly to go to waste anyway, and is as prone to fads, petty politics and circle-jerking as most other human fields of work.

Oh yeah, you can't understand memes.

Reddit hates science. It's a leftist board.

Nah, they're liberals and libertarians. They worship science. The anti-science people tend to be on the right these days. They think climate change is just a big hoax propagated by the media.

the gay science

>aren't Reddit?
What in the fuck does this even mean? You're supposed to be able to read and write English on the fucking literature board you meme-loving fuck.

Liberals are as far-left as you can get. There is nothing else, hence the conservative turn in all other arenas, or capitulation to liberalism.

Hi Red-it.
Common traits of the Eternal Redditor
>says things like WTF does this even mean?
>is Anglo beyond the Poe's Law syntax
>hates memes
>'MODS!'
>finds ways to downvote wherever she is
>no one on the internet is white or male
>etc.

the mathematical experience or descartes dream

you're right. math and logic aren't science. but guess what section it would be in at a book store?

Shut the fuck up you newfag. Christ.

>NO YOU'RE REDDIT
Nice dv fag.

There is no reason for you to learn about science unless you need it for a profession. Also, you won't understand science by reading a book. You have to study a field of it rigorously
