STOP SHILLING THIS GARBAGE

Robert sounds exactly like too many posters on here, sort yourselves out Roberts!

Pretty off topic; doesn't meet your criteria (ie: not a short story), but a good article tracks changes in what it is/was like to be a woman. Came to mind for some reason so thought I'd share it.

Robert sounds like a checklist of embarrassing things men are insecure about. Could it be that it was the protagonist who came away jilted from the encounter? Think about it. The protagonist is incredibly narcissistic, just like the kind of person who would spend weeks making up a story about how much Robert that dumped her sucked anyways and that she is do much better and prettier and beautiful.
