My friend saw my bookshelves and said "i'm more street smart than book smart"
What did he mean by this?

What did he mean by this?
He's nearer to grasping the present moment as opposed to wrangling curated thoughts of others in the past. His desires are clearer.
It means he is a degenerate, and far below your IQ. Do not welcome him into your residence ever again user until he reads a couple of books and embraces the traditionalist worldview.
It means that this is a repost and therefore never happened at all. It's still in the archives, isn't it?
He's a nigger.
He explored his own mind with psychotropic substances, he explored his sexuality by experiencing all kinds of intercourse with both men and women, he explored different perspectives and philosophies by interacting with people of all walks of life. He knows more than you, because all you did was looking at completely arbitrary, useless, theories that ultimately don't mean anything. But you're not man enough to admit that are you? That you're "novel pursuit of knowledge" is ultimately pointless, a shit show, a farce.
He's illiterate, but gets laid regularly.
IQ is pseudoscience, brainlet.
That's how stupid people cope
Oh look, it’s this thread again
Deja vu, this strange thread again!
He doesn't need books to tell him what he already knows.
Almost everthing remarked by a philosopher is intuitive.
>books smart:highly abstract,theoretical and specialized knowledge
>street smart:empirical knowledge acquired by experience on the day by day, less disciplined or structured but more versatile on daily life as well more based on reality
knowing the theory of how to fix a engine is book smart
knowing the minor tricks to patch common problems that the theory doesn't consider for is street smarts
imagine actually believing this
Brainlet cope.
i mean he is not wrong
the mind is a organ that needs to be feed data and said data comes from the world
how can a man say he understands the smells of roses by having reading it on a book?
books smart are nice, but empirical experience make us have a intuitive understanding while books give us a clear structure and explanation of our intuitive beliefs
If I were to say that to someone with a large collection of books, I'd probably assume you dont have an abundance of philosophical wank (a lot of which cultivates the more useless, detached ivory tower style of knowledge that just makes you an insufferable faggot to be around and utterly incapable of solving actual problems) or YA (which would indicate that you arent smart at all / are a woman).
I'd probably consider stuff like Vonnegut, Bukowski, HS Thompson, Chuck Palahniuk, John Steinbeck, Tolkien, Heinlein, Phillip K Dick, etc "street smart"
He can't read
Yikes..
he’s intimidated and trying to cope
Anyone who knows how to deal with people knows that they don't need to assert that knowledge so crudely.
I'm sorry op, but your friend is using a cope.
everything, including IQ, is manifest in the physical, faggot.
