If you're saying people on Yea Forums are not the intellegentsia then I don't see your point.
First of all you're wrong. Many here have masters or doctor degrees in English or philosophy and even teachers and journalists are part of the intellegentsia, and you can be very young and be both of those. Further still the cheka were eager to kill many other types of educated people like medical doctors too.
Anyway what Yea Forums is or is not is not really relevant for the real point if my argument. Marxism is very popular in the humanities especially among professors, who would be purged.

in popular academia yes marxism can be very stuck, but there are a lot of people doing real work otherwise that is firmly contemporary. that all said, the writings of lenin, marx/engels, mao, etc all still ring pretty true and just because they are older does not mean we shouldnt study them.
20th-21st century marxists like parenti and mark fisher did excellent jobs creating 21st century specific dialogues about marxism though for anyone interested. also juche is probably the most impressive modern marxist ideology and i would really encourage any marxists reading this to learn about it.
